Nature of employment: 24 months Fixed-term (Internship)
TCTA is offering an internship opportunity to suitably qualified and deserving youth from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
[COMPLIANCE INTERNSHIP]
The purpose of this role (Intern), is to provide support to the Compliance Department as assigned, in line with the learning and development programme.
The following are, not exhaustive, areas of exposure for this role:
The Intern will be expected to adhere to the learning programme and work towards being fully successful in all assessments; with full support as directed by the Compliance Officer and Assistant Compliance Officer within the Compliance Department in which the Intern program will operate;
1 Maintain, facilitate and update:
• the Fruitless and Wasteful Expenditure Register;
• the Irregular Expenditure Register;
2 Assist with the gathering of supporting evidence for the preparation of the report to management or the Board;
3 Assist with population of the submissions to obtain approval for condonation of irregular expenditure; and
4 Assist with the facilitation of requests for information (RFI’s) and communication of findings during the audit period.
5 It is important to note that duties may be varied, as per operational requirements which can be amended by line management throughout the duration of this Internship programme.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• A degree in Law (B. Com, BC. Compt, Audit or LLB) Commercial degrees with
commercial law as a module
