Business Unit: Investment Promotion
Duration: 12 Months
 
Brief Outline of Duties: 
This is a request for intern candidate who will mainly assist investment promotion unit in key performance areas such Technical Assistance Fund applications, Coordination of BEE financial assistance, provide support on sector events/ round tables coordinated by Project Managers, project filing and documentation and enquiry management. 
 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (Among others) 
1. Co-ordination and preparation of Technical Assistance Fund applications 
2. Co-ordination and preparation of BEE financial scheme assistance applications 
3. Project filing & log in project details in project tracking tools 
4. General support for Project Managers for sector events/roundtables 
5. General administration 
 
JOB SPECIFICATION 
Educational and /or Technical Competencies: 
Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Economics /Development Studies /Business Administration / Business Management 
Advantageous: Postgraduate degree in Economics /Development Studies /Business Administration / Business Management 
 
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES 
• Understanding of project management, role of development finance, role of Foreign Direct Investment in growing the economy. 
• Broader understanding of KZN Economy, KZN economic attributes and key sectors of KZN economy 
 
 
• PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES 
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Computer literacy at an intermediate level. 
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel. 
• Ability to aspire to a culture of service excellence.
