DIRECTORATE: FINANCIAL SERVICES
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: FINANCIAL SERVICES (CFO) (Re-advertisement)
DEPARTMENT: Financial Services TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: This is a 5-year fixed term performance based contract in terms of Section 56 of the Municipal Systems Act of 2000 as amended. The incumbent reports directly to the Municipal Manager. 
PLACE TO BE STATIONED: Middelburg, Mpumalanga (MP313)
ANNUAL TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE: MIN: R1,026,342 / MID: R1,207, 4601 MAX: R1,388 579 p.a. (Including benefits) plus performance bonus. Payment is in terms of remuneration packages payable to Municipal Managers and Managers directly accountable to Municipal Managers — Notice 1224 of 2018.
 
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in fields of Accounting, Finance or Economics. A qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) would be an advantage. Minimum of 10 years' experience at senior and middle management levels, of which at least 5 years must be at senior management level. 
In-depth knowledge of Local Government finances and Legislation. Excellent communication and report writing skills. Valid Code B driver's licence.

Requirements: A relevant B Degree or National Diploma in Property Valuation or equivalent qualification (NOF 6/7). Registration with SA Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional / Professional Associated Valuer. Five (5) years' relevant experience. Knowledge in local Government systems, Deeds Web inquiry programme and Geographic Information systems will be an advantage. Computer literacy is essential. Good communication and report writing skills plus a valid code B driver's licence is required. The applicant will be required to work overtime as and when required.

Experience in administration and project management will serve as a strong recommendation. Knowledge and understanding of local government legislations. Computer literacy. Valid code B driver's licence.
