DIRECTORATE: OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER
IDP/PMS COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT: Development and Strategic Support
POST LEVEL: 04
SALARY SCALE: R451 608 / R462 909 p.a. (excluding benefits)

Requirements: B-Degree in Development Studies/Planning/Public Administration or equivalent relevant qualification (NQF 7). 3-5 years' relevant experience in planning and development field or similar environment. Computer literacy (MS Office). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Advanced report writing and research skills. Knowledge of local government legislative framework. Valid Code B Driver's Licence. Must be able to work under pressure.
Key performance areas: Prepare and review the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and budget process plan. Coordinate public participation meetings. Align the IDP, Budget and SOBIP. Monitor the implementation of projects. Organise strategic sessions. Consolidation of the municipal Annual Report. Effectively administering the performance management system of the Municipality. Alignment of the IDP objectives with performance targets.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: LAW ENFORCEMENT AND SECURITY
DEPARTMENT: Public Safety: Law Enforcement and Security
POST LEVEL: 03
BASIC SALARY: R498 627 p.a. (excluding benefits)

Requirements: B Degree or National Diploma in the field of Law Enforcement or Security or relevant equivalent qualification (NSF 7/6). 5-6 years' relevant law enforcement and security experience which 3 years must have been in a management or supervisory capacity. A good understanding of law enforcement and security related procedures / policies / systems and tools. Report writing, Public relations and communications skills are essential. Computer literacy (MS Office).
Valid Code B Driver's Licence. Be appointable as a Peace Officer. Firearm Competency Certificate training (attach proof).
Key performance areas: Plan, implement and monitor law enforcement and security activities/operations. Develop municipal by-laws and manage the process of enforcement by conducting inspections at Businesses, households, Industries, Taxi ranks and other areas. Facilitate the issuing of notices for non-compliance. Manage and execute law enforcement of all related Acts and By-laws. Manage and control land invasion programmes. Manage and monitor the work performance of all contracted service providers i.e. guarding services, alarms and CCTV systems as per the signed SLA. Ensure that security risk assessment is conducted and the necessary security measures are implemented. Compilation and management of the budget and expenditure processes. Compilation of reports.
