The successful candidate will report to the Stellenbosch Municipality Manager: Economic Development & Tourism and must comply with the following:
Minimum Requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma/ Degree in Business Management / Management Science / Economics / Economic Development / Project Management / Entrepreneurship / Town and Regional Planning / Public Administration) ● Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience - preferably in SMME support services environment and facilitation of business opportunities or EPWP project co-ordination, and control and implementation● Valid Code B driver’s licence
Other requirements: Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures ● Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint ● Ability to work independently and develop good interpersonal relations ● Good Business Planning and report writing skills ● Ability to manage diverse clients / situations ● Reliability and punctuality, willing to work odd hours / days ● Able to develop and implement work programs ● Fluent in at least two of the three Western Cape official languages (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa), with most of the documentation prepared in English. ● Outstanding ability to communicate (verbally and written)
Duties: Managing the Implementation of the Municipality’s Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and Small Medium Micro Enterprises (SMME) development strategy and related action plan ● Maintaining and managing intergovernmental relations and stakeholder liaison with regards to Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and Small Medium Micro Enterprises (SMME) ● Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports on activities and relevant matters to the immediate superior for review and reference. ●Applying and implementing the appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools in support of the realization of function’s performance targets

Salary: R 279 511.32- R 362 823.48 (subject to evaluation) Plus benefits
