Minimum Requirements: B Comm degree or equivalent qualification ● 5 years’ relevant experience of which at least 2 years must be at middle management level and at least 3 years at any level in a role related to the position of the official• Required Minimum Competency Units Standards or if not in possession of, applicant must agree to obtain within 18 months of appointment. 
 
Other Requirements: Computer literacy is essential ● Bilingualism, communication and interpersonal skills to interact with other department’s ● Deadline management to be able to meet statutory requirements ● Valid Code B ● Driver's license to be able to attend meetings and visit municipal sites (own vehicle) ● Sound understanding of the municipal finance management environment and the service delivery role of local government. 
 
 
Responsibilities/Duties: To formulate and implement acquisition policies and procedures in accordance with legislation and directives ●Manage the procurement of goods and services in line with applicable legislation. ●Ensure that all procurement, as well as the appointment of service providers, is done in the most efficient and consistent manner and in accordance with authorized processes. ●To participate in audit processes in area of responsibility. To effectively manage the procurement of stock items. ● Co-ordinates and control tasks/activities associated with controlling sub- ordinates performance, productivity and discipline. ●Maintaining relationships with service providers/vendors and contractors, consultants, officials and external stakeholders.

Salary: R 542 940.77- R 704 776.40 Plus benefits
