Minimum requirements: A recognized 3 year National Diploma or B Degree in Graphic Design, multimedia production or similar tertiary qualification in a related field • At least 3 years’ experience in fields of Graphic /Multimedia Design or Content Development and Knowledge Management • Knowledge of key municipal legislation including Municipal Structures Act, Municipal Systems Act •Valid Code B Driver’s License
Other requirements/skills: Excellent communication skills • Analytic and strategic thinking • Excellent digital, internet, computer, social media and graphic design skills • Attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure and independently • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously • Proficiency with content management and graphic design software • Proficiency in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape
Responsibilities: Development of content strategy, creative and graphic deliverables • Multimedia content creation, including graphic design, video material, voice clips and written content • Corporate branding, research, information and knowledge gathering • Content packaging for distribution through all internal and external municipal communication platforms • Monitoring and analyses of media environment, municipal environment and online media platforms to identify communication risks and opportunities • Must remain abreast with the latest in creative graphical approaches, technological advancements and trends for the continuous development and improvement of work related functions.

Salary: R 279 511.32– R 362 823.48 (subject to evaluation) Plus benefits
