Purpose of the job

Key Responsibility Area 
  • Lead the design and development of new features for the software systems, and improvement of existing ones. 
  • Implementation, debugging, documentation and release of the software solutions in a DevOps Environment. 
  • Provide maintenance, enhancement and support of the existing DevOps Platform. 
  • Perform software systems coding assignments

Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: 3-year National Higher Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or related field. 
Added Advantage: Linux Certification * Docker Certification * Kubernetes Certification. 
Experience: 6 - 7 years’ experience with full software development lifecycle (SLDC), including solution development, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation. Minimum 3 years’ extensive DevOps experience: •Utilise DevOps tools/technologies to establish automated CI/CD pipelines lifecycle for .Net and Java related solutions • Designing and implementing Docker, DockerHub and Kubernetes DevOps solutions in a Cloud Infrastructure environment • GitLab • Windows Operating System • Linux Operating System • Design and implement monitoring reporting in a DevOps Environment • Understand HTTP(S), SSL certificates, Firewalls, Docker Networking, Docker Volumes/Binds, Environment Variables and VPNs • Experience in the Python 3 programming language. The experience must include xperience in solution analysis, design, and development for the development, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of systems within the corporate/public sector, including: Successfully developed and implemented applications using a DevOps Practice, underpinning Agile methodologies. Qualifications and Experience

Key Responsibility Areas 
  • Perform system testing and installations to evaluate whether ICT products meet the minimum requirements as specified by the client (Internal customer). 
  • Assist with the support of the lab infrastructure to enable the unit to deliver on its functions. (Internal business process). 
  • Assist with Lab administration during the absence of the lab coordinator thus ensuring continued service delivery to the clients (Internal business process).

Qualifications and Experience

Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in the ICT field, including maintenance /enhancements of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms, including experience in hardware technical support, experience in network administration and support, experience in equipment testing and lab experience.
