Experience:

Purpose of the job
To manage and direct the applications testing business unit and manage the execution of testing services within the adopted standards, processes and procedures.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Standards setting for Interoperability and Information Systems Security. Facilitate the adoption of standards by different Lines of Business
- Manage and coordinate the execution of both standards setting for all the ICT projects and programmes as prescribed by the adopted Standards Lifecycle Process
- Ensure the application of good practice techniques within the organisation and that Service Levels and Standards are set, monitored and achieved
- Develop the unit’s Operational Plan aligned to the Corporate Strategy to support SITA’s strategic objectives
- Manage resources (i.e. Budget/Finances, Assets/Equipment, and Skills) within the unit in order to ensure efficient operation of the unit.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualification: 3-year National Diploma / Degree in ICT, Quality Management, or Software Engineering - at least NQF level 6. ISTQB Certification.
Experience: 8-10 years working experience in the ICT field with responsibilities for Software development and application testing in a corporate/public sector organisation. The experience must include 5 years' experience as a manager in a corporate/public sector organisation.
