Purpose of the job

Key Responsibility Area
• Lead the design and development of new features for the software systems, and improvement of the existing ones.
• Design, develop and support SharePoint solutions and advanced workflows.

• Configuring and customizing SharePoint systems according to business specifications.

• Defines functional requirements based on business needs.
• Produces and maintains detailed technical documentation.
• Supervision of the Software development team.
• Provide development activities level effort and duration estimates for schedule planning.
• Lead the process of reviewing code for consistent application of standards, perform guidance with other developers to instil an understanding of application and coding standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum: 3-year National Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) or related field.
Experience: 6 - 7 years’ experience with full software development lifecycle (SLDC), including solution development, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation. The experience must include Experience in solution analysis, and development for the development, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of systems within the corporate/public sector, including: Successfully developed and implemented applications Software development team leadership competency Software development deliverable effort planning, estimations and execution management Developed efficient and effective IT solutions to diverse and complex business problems. Extensive experience with a wide variety of database management systems and maintenance. Extensive experience with a wide variety of programming languages and technologies. Minimum: 1 - 2-year National Certificate in Computer Science or Information Technology or Network Architecture or Computer Engineering. / NQF level 5 or accredited specialised courses. Certification: OEM/OSM Certification (e.g. Oracle, MCSE Data Platform, OCP Solaris, Redhat Linux or MCSE.
Experience: 2-3 years’ experience or internship in computer science or information technology. Experience and exposure in the Data Centre environment will be an added advantage.
Technical Competencies Description
Knowledge of: System Programming. Basic project management. Operating system. Z/OS, Z/LINUX, Z/VM and other software tools i.e. BMC, CA, could include Oracle certified Professional, MCSE Data Platform, Mainframe,
OCP Solaris, Redhat Linux or MCSE, CA-7, MySQL. IT hardware and software.
Interpersonal/behavioural competencies: Active listening; Attention to Detail; Analytical thinking; Continuous Learning; Disciplined; Resilience; and Stress Management
