POSITION STATUS : Permanent (Internal & External) 
 
Purpose of the job 
To manage implementation of new and existing solutions consultation services in highly complex network solutions and the impact of these solutions on operations of all network and external disciplines.

Key Responsibility Areas 
Network Infrastructure services Preparation; Network Management and Administration; Address the complex Network escalations; and Management of staff. 
 
Qualifications and Experience 
Minimum: 3 year National Diploma/Degree in IT related field (Computer Science, Information Technology/Engineering, BCom etc). Plus CCNP or any relevant Network Certification. 
OR
Minimum: 3 National Diploma/Degree in IT related field (Computer Science, Information Technology/Engineering, etc). CCNP or any equivalent Network Certification. Certifications with lapsed validity period will be accepted. 
 
Experience: 6 - 8 technical Network and team lead experience which should include: 
• Network design, deployment and support 
• Network configuration and security infrastructure. 
• Network security infrastructure 
• LAN, WAN and Wireless devices, firewalls, DNS and Active directory. 
 
 
Technical Competencies Description 
Knowledge of: Advance Computer and network principles; Advance WAN principles and topology; Advance Internet protocols, services and standards; Advance Quality of Service; Advanced Networking knowledge and experience; Advanced WAN and Gateway operational, support and maintenance knowledge and experience; Network Management: Advanced WAN and Gateway planning and design knowledge and experience. 
A solid understanding of: Advance VPN technologies and concepts; Modems; Carrier technology; LAN Principles; Cabling Principles; Network Operating Systems; Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS); Project Management. 
 
Technical Skills: Advance Proficiency in routing and switching technologies; ITIL; Advance Voice over IP; Quality of Service; VPN Support. 
 
Other Special Requirements 
Behavioural Attributes: Self-confidence, Problem resolution-orientation, communication, and team leader. 
The incumbent will be required to consult and interact with Government officials, standards generating bodies, accreditation and certification bodies.
