South West Gauteng College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), formerly, FET college, operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in terms of the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended.
 
The college currently has temporary vacancies for Cashbook Clerks in the Finance Unit
 
Please note: All of these positions are temporary for a period of three months
 
POSITION: Cashbook Clerks: Finance X 2
SALARY: R5 000
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Diploma or equivalent in Finance or Accounting with financial Accounting as one of the subjects.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ cashbook clerk experience.
  • Experience in accounting software such as Pastel.
  • Experience in Adapt IT ITS System cashbook module it is an added advantage. 
 
DUTIES:
  • Capturing the bank statements onto ITS financial system.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Ensuring that source documentation is complete and correctly filed.
 
 
Note: All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which will be communicated by the College. The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement, disclose his/her financial interests and be subjected to security clearance.
