ORGANISATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS MANAGER
 
JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT/PURPOSE:
The Organisational Effectiveness Manager collaboratively leads the design and implementation of change and organisational development solutions that are aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the organisation; fostering employee engagement to enable the business to achieve its strategic objectives.

Qualifying Criteria
Key Performance Areas (Duties & Responsibilities):
1. Change Management
• Develop and apply a structured methodology and lead change management
activities
• Drive the definition and implementation of organisational change management
interventions to support change efforts
• Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support
adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
• Lead the design, development, delivery, and management of communications
• Assess the change impact
• Conduct impact analyses
• Assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
• Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics
• Identify and manage anticipated resistance
• Support training efforts
• Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of
training programs
• Consolidate CMO project reports and document status of projects


2. Organisational Development

• Lead initiatives aimed enhancing organisational culture and employee
engagement
• Oversee implementation of OD processes to ensure that organisational structures
support the achievement of strategic/change objectives
• Foster and promote communications to ensure effective and consistent
messaging, and consultation processes to build staff engagement
• Ensure the integration of Organisational Development, employee wellness and
performance requirements with other processes in the HR value chain
• Facilitate team effectiveness interventions to effectively manage conflict, build
teams, create change agility, and build a culture that is aligns to business values
• Constantly review the Sasria performance management approach and framework
to ensure that it remains effective, relevant and keeps up with practice
developments
• Effectively use diagnostic tools and monitor business results to determine the
success of interventions and to design new interventions

3. Culture and Engagement
• Use climate surveys to determine employee engagement levels diagnose areas
for further development
• Formulate strategies and plans to socialise organisational culture and ensure
alignment with practice
• Facilitate the design and execution of people management surveys such as 360 feedback, wellness surveys etc.
• Continuously engage internal stakeholders to ensure that Sasria’s EVP is
compelling and competitive to attract and retain talent employees
• Collaborate with the Human Capital team and business leadership to ensure that the implementation of the employee wellness programme is effective and suitable for the unique requirements faced by Sasria employees and their dependents

4. Policies and Procedures
• Contribute to identifying process improvement in policies and/or procedures for identified areas e.g., Performance Management, EVP etc.
• Research latest development in management, leadership and organization
development areas and keep abreast to serve as a subject matter expert and
consult to organization regarding critical people issues.

5. Reporting and Alignment
• Report on Change management projects and flag potential risks as applicable
• Report on employee wellness programme utilisation quarterly
• Compile climate/engagement survey report with recommendations of areas for improvement
 


Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Industrial Psychology, Business Management or
equivalent)
• Preferred Post graduate qualification
• 5 years’ experience in organisational development/change management
• 3 years in change/OD Lead role
• 5 years in human resources/people management environment
 
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of insurance business

• National Treasury reporting requirements for Schedule 3A entities
