The following positions are available in KZN Region 
 
 
 
Local Office Manager X4 Posts 
Salary: R869 007.00 – R1 023 645.00 p.a. inclusive of benefits 
Location: Nongoma Local Office (Ref No: G17/2021), Emnambithi Local Office (Ref No: G18/2021), Mpumalanga Local Office (Ref No: G19/2021), Greytown Local Office (Ref No: G20/2021) 
 
Requirements: Candidates should have a B degree or a 3 year tertiary qualification coupled with 1-2 years management experience in the relevant field; Knowledge of SASSA's Constitutional mandate, relevant policies and legislation in Public Management; Knowledge of Social Security services and poverty alleviation matters; Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are essential. 
 
Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the divisions at the Local Office; Provide Support Services - Human Capital Management, Financial Accounting and Supply Chain Management services, including Fleet Management, Facilities Management, ICT enquiries and Records Management; Management of the Grant Administration (Operations Management, Customer Care Management, Pay Point Management, Disability Management and Beneficiary Maintenance); Compilation of the operational plan; Manage resources, stakeholder engagements and outreach programmes; Data acquisition, analysis and management of information/reporting to the District. 
 
 
Nongoma and Mpumalanga Local Offices: Preference will be given to African Male followed by People with Disability and Coloured Female respectively as at the time of appointment. 
 
Emnambithi and Greytown Local Offices: Preference will be given to African Female followed by People with Disability and Coloured Female respectively as at the time of appointment.

Administrative Officer 
Salary: R257 508 – R 303 339 p.a. exclusive of benefits 
Location: Harding Local Office (Ref No: SAS 05/2021) 
 
Requirements: Candidates should hold a Relevant Degree / National Diploma / NQF equivalent coupled with 1-2 years’ experience in the relevant field. Computer literacy is essential and a Valid Driver’s license will be an added advantage. 
 
Duties: The incumbent will effectively render Transport services: Monitor and ensure the maintenance of log books of pool vehicles; Ensure the implementation and maintenance of appropriate registers; Monitor the implementation and maintenance of a database for assets. Human Resource Administration: Ensure that local office staff comply with HR policies and procedures; Ensure that all HR forms and documents are correct and complete; Ensure that HR request / documents / forms are forwarded to District office timeously; Ensure the maintenance of appropriate registers. General Admin Support services: Ensure the implementation and maintenance of a filing system that is aligned to the master file plan of SASSA; Represent the Local Office in various meetings, forums, committees; Assist with the arrangement of meetings and special events or awareness campaigns. Manage the procurement process: Obtaining of quotations if not available; Write motivation and attached Comparative Schedule; Obtain approval from delegated authority; Ordering of items; Receipts, check and book items in accordance to  the delivery note; Arrange for payment of invoice. Manage subordinates: Supervision / appraisal / disciplinary; Leave; Training and development; Planning and organization; Guidance and Mentoring. 
 
Preference will be given to People with Disability.

Grant Administrator X2 Posts 
Salary: R173 703.00 – R204 612.00 p.a. exclusive of benefits 
Location: Umzinto Local Office (Ref No: G21/2021) & Mooi River Local Office (Ref No: G22/2021) 
 
Requirements: Candidates should have a Senior Certificate; Knowledge in the Grants Administration / Social Security environment; Computer literacy is essential and a valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage. 
 
The incumbent will effectively render Social Security services; Screening and completing customer checklists; Receive applications in terms of the relevant Act; Attend to social grant related queries to prevent litigation; Prepare statistical performance templates; Review all identified grants in terms of the Act and Regulations; Prepare and process grants on SOCPEN; Assist in completion of projects and prepare recommendations for management. 
 
Umzinto Local Office: Preference will be given to African Male followed by People with Disability and Indian Male respectively as at the time of appointment. 
 
Mooi-River Local Office: Preference will be given to People with Disability.
