Job Title: System Developer Digital (C5) – 1 Position
(Position based in Pretoria, NPC)
Reports to: Manager Applications
 
Summation
The person in this position will be responsible for developing digital software for the bank.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
Software Development
• Develop new software and mobile applications
• Enhance and modify existing software
• Deploy digital solutions
• Debug new and existing codes
• Present all documentation to and assist the Design team during the solution design
• Record all system documentation and update all changes thereto
• Work with no code/low code systems to rapidly develop and roll-out customer facing solutions
 
Net Framework or J2EE
• Operating Systems: Linux / UNIX (REDHAT), Windows (7, 8 and 10, Server 2003,2008 and 2012)
• Database: Oracle, MySQL
• Development Languages: Java 6 & 7 (Servlet, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate, JMS)
• Design Tools: UML Designer, MTNL, XML, Flex, Flash, Cascading style sheets (CSS), Java Script.
 

For Microsoft.Net Developer:
• Operating Systems: Windows (7, 8 and 10, Server 2003,2008 and 2012)
• XML,
• ASP.NET,
• Oracle Advanced PL/SQL, T/SQL, MCSD .NET,
• Visual C/C#,
• VB.Net VBScript,
• JavaScript
 
Key skills required:
• Mobile development capability, Android OS, IOS, Windows, Mobile App, JAVA, .NET
 
All the above roles interface with:
• Application Testers, Security Engineers, Change Management, Release management, IT Production Services, IT Applications support, Project teams
 
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Information Technology Diploma or higher / Related qualification
• MCSD certificate (Advantage)
 
Experience:
• 3 -5 years’ experience in Software development
• Experience in developing mobile app
 
Knowledge and understanding of:
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience and expertise in the following:
  • Software development
  • Mobile development
  • SDLC life cycle
• Understanding of software development and database languages. E.g. SQL, Oracle DB
• A strong understanding of systems, systems architectures, as well as relational databases
• Able to work in agile development team
• Knowledge of digital banking platforms, OBDX, Flexcube UBS 14x will added advantage
