Project Manager: Cards (L5/6) – (24 Months fixed term contract)
(Positions based in NPC, Pretoria)
Reports to: Head Portfolio Management Office (PMO) - Postbank
Summation
Responsible for the planning and delivery of project/s within the Postbank environment within time lines, budget and quality standards within the project sphere including relevant tools, techniques, policy, methodology, process and guidelines. This includes the relationship management closely linked to the planning and management of projects through the entire project life cycle, capacity planning [inclusive of resource requirements] and governance related activities, tracking, measuring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage relationships with all stakeholders of the projects
• Manage delivery of the project within agreed time lines, quality and budget
• Pro-actively identify and escalate project risks, issues and any unresolved issues that impact the program to the Sponsor
• Report regularly on projects and program performance both to the PMO head as well as Functional heads
• Advanced programme, project portfolio planning and management
• Build key and meaningful client relationships as well as ensuring the effective delivery of appropriate communications to all stakeholders
• Ensure delivery of project is aligned to Postbank accepted project management methodologies
• Maintain interactions with card switching bodies, card manufactures, other processors and software vendors for the purpose of coordinating products/projects
• Maintain thorough understanding of payment processing card industry and card processing systems.
• Ensure the efficient management and control of functions/resources in accordance with the stipulations of the PFMA, fraud prevention and risk management principles, corporate governance, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations, Delegation of Authority, etc.
Minimum Requirements
• At least a BA Degree (Bachelor Atriums – NQF Level 7) in Project / Program / Portfolio Management / IT or Business Administration
• Project Management Certification.
• PMP or equivalent project management associations would be an advantage
• 6+ years’ experience project/programme/portfolio management within banking environment or financial services sector.
• 6+ years in card project management and technology within banking environment or financial services sector.
• Experience and leadership of multi-disciplined/skilled project teams
• Experience in large-scale conversion project leadership and card processing experience preferred
• Practical and demonstrable project management knowledge according to the International Standards i.e. PMBOK, Prince2
• Working knowledge of applicable legislation e.g. Banks Act, NPS Act, PFMA
• Sound knowledge of Project Management Tools.
