Job Title: Data Management Specialist (L5/6)
(Position based in Head Office: Pretoria)
Reports to: Head: Data Management and Business Intelligence
Summation
The person in this position will be responsible to create reports for executive and management divisions using different Business Intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities
BI Administration
Provide clients with information by designing methods to collect and retrieve data.
Translate business needs to technical specifications
Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
Maintain and support data analytics platforms
Create tools to store data
Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
Develop and update technical documentation
Reporting
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects and as requested by business
Work with database technology, analytics and reporting tools to realise the business value of business information
Develop data warehouses and data marts to meet business requirements
Design complex reports for the business units

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent (NQF Level 6)
MCSE/MCSA will be an added advantage
Experience:
5 years’ experience in BI
Experience in in data warehouse design
Knowledge and understanding of:
Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Scientist and Analytics platforms
Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), NoSQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), COGNOS, SPAGO, Report builder and relational databases
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
Financial industry experience is an advantage
Skills: • Interpersonal, Analytical thinking, Written and verbal Communication, Time management, Problem Solving, Proven ability to apply analytical tools, Proven ability to deliver projects to tight timelines, Contribute to a team-oriented environment, Experience in delivering projects within an agile environment, Willingness to learn an try new things, Strong sense of ownership and accountability
