Job Title: MANAGER: BRANCH (L5/6)
(Position based in NPC, Pretoria)
Reports to: Head Channel
 
Summation
Responsible for driving and leading overall success of branch network /kiosk in providing seamless customer experience. The position exists to be responsible for the overall performance of the branch network and providing leadership In meeting customer needs through the branch Channel.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
• Manage financial results of branch network by ensuring the financial probity and cost efficiency of all branch activities.
• Develop branches operational targets and ensure they are executed and achieved through effective leadership, management, evaluation and reporting.
• Design and lead the implementation of the branch business plan and branch operational strategies.
• Ensure Branch networks overall results and compliance with business the business plan and operational policies and procedures.
• Set comprehensive for performance, growth and manage branch network to encourage maximum performance.
• Oversee daily operations of branch network /kiosk the direct work of subordinates
• Participate in implementation and development of Channel department strategy and operational plan
• Assist in operational Manual /Procedure and documents write up to ensure the launch of new products/services are compiled with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Ensure the efficient management of function/resources in accordance with the stipulations of the Public Finance Management Act, fraud prevention and risk management principles, legislation, company policies and practices, processes, regulations, Corporate Governance, etc.
 
Minimum Requirements
• Degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance, Banking, Economics.
• Any further financial qualification will be an added advantage
• 120 FAIS credits in banking
• RE 5
• 3-5 years’ experience in commercial banking, 2 years of which should be in branch management
 
Knowledge and understanding of:
• Cash branch ecosystem, cash management and reconciliation
• Retail banking channel value chains, channel activities and management.
• Legislation, regulations, internal policies and procedures that affect any activity of Postbank Savings Operations with specific reference to the Public Finance Management Act, King II Report, FICA, FAIS
