SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE SERVICE (SAPS) – HEAD OFFICE - INVESTIGATOR: ANTI-CORRUPTION INVESTIGATION (WARRANT OFFICER) X2 POSTS

 
Additional Requirements:
 Applicant must have a three year Diploma / Degree registered on the
National Learner Record Database on at least a NQF 6 level in
Policing/Law/Criminology or other relevant fields of study with at least
zero to two (0-2) years relevant experience in the field of the post.
 
Core Functions:
 Complying with national policy, directives and standards set for the
successful investigating of serious corruption;
 Dealing with corruption investigations by utilising project driven
investigation methodologies;
 Utilising a multi-disciplinary approach with regard to the field of
responsibility;
 Developing an operational strategy relating to investigations;
 Maintaining informer network;
 Preparing case dockets and enquiries for inspection in accordance with
the prescripts;
 Apprehending and processing of suspects;
 Attending court proceedings;
 Maintaining statistics of all investigations;
 Manage human and physical resources efficiently and effectively.

General:
 Only the official application form which will be available at all SAPS Offices and Stations will be accepted. All instructions on the application form must be adhered to; failure to do so may result in the rejection of the application.
 The post particulars and reference number of the post must be correctly specified on the application form.
 Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae must be submitted together with the application form.
 Certified copies of an applicant's ID document, motor vehicle driver's licence (where applicable), all educational qualifications obtained together with academic
 Records thereof and service certificates of previous employers stating the occupation, must also be submitted and attached to every application.
 Applicants will be subjected to fingerprint screening.
 Persons who retired from the Public Service by taking a severance package, early retirement or for medical reasons, as well as persons with previous convictions, are excluded.
 Appointments will be made in terms of the South African Police Service Act, 1995.
 Successful applicants to be appointed in terms of the South African Police Service Act, 1995 (Act no 68 of 1995) will have to undergo a medical examination and found to be medically fit. They will further have to comply with the prescripts on the SAPS Dress Order, whereby tattoos may not be visible when wearing uniform. Must be willing to undergo training as prescribed by the National Commissioner.
