HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
SALARY GRADE: C2
R368 810 TCTC
66% (R243 415) pensionable base, 34% (R125 395) to be structured as per individual needs viz
Medical Aid, 13th cheque, housing, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Matric plus an appropriate National Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent HR qualification with 1-2 years’ experience in human resources. Sound knowledge of payroll matters will serve as an advantage.
COMPETENCIES:
- Advanced level of working knowledge of the MS Office suite of programmes,
- Good communication and writing skills, sound knowledge of payroll administration and systems (Sage 300 people), sound knowledge of filing systems, and computer literacy.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of administrative processes, the ability to communicate effectively and liaise between organisations at Council/Stakeholder level, information management, people management skills, and building trust and rapport with others to create win-win relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative and secretarial support service to the Senior Manager: Human Resources and the department to achieve optimal functioning within the Office of the Registrar;
- Prepares all logistics for all committees and subcommittee meetings;
- Assist with travel arrangements for the Human Resource Office and all HR Committee members;
- Respond to enquiries regarding all human resources matters in a way that enhances and promotes the image of the Council;
- Process correspondence timeously and accurately;
- Assist in processing human resource and payroll-related inputs on the human capital system;
