Description
Job Profile:
To manage and oversee the delivery of Necas's programme within the client’s scope, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
 
Key Performance Areas:                     
  • Develop systems that enable the implementation and execution of various Programme;
  • Oversee the planning and execution of projects in line with Necsa’s strategic objectives and plan;
  • Develop and maintain relations with key government departments and other key industry role players to ensure effective Stakeholder Relations Management for the projects; and
  • Provide a support function to the Senior Manager in implementing executive and Board decisions relating to all strategic projects

  • Manage the development of the programme Scope, Cost and Schedule Baselines.
  • Identify and analyse programme risks and develop risk response strategies as well as cost, schedule and scope implications of the response strategies. Manage the risk register.
  • Present scope, cost and schedule baseline to Programme Board for Acceptance.
  • Develop and manage the programme procurement plan.
  • Provide the necessary oversight during contract negotiation and execution.
  • Manage all identified stakeholders.
  • Manage the delivery of the programme in line with scope (and quality), cost, schedule and time baseline.
  • Prepare Highlight Reports for (and escalate issues to) the Programme Board where necessary.
  • Manage the close-out of the programme and prepare close out reports.
  • Ensure compliance to all Necas's SHEQ-INS requirement for all programs and project.
  • Identify and interpret applicable SHEQ-INS requirements in order to develop and implement relevant and effective systems to implement throughout all Programme lifecycle within the Nuclear Fuel Cycle group.
  • Advise and manage the implementation of the Quality Management System and configuration management within the Nuclear Engineering Programme.
  • Oversee the overall spending on the Programme and ensure that all costs and finances are within the prescribed parameters.
  • Manage expenditure in line with approved parameters.
  • Report expenses and variances when required to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
  • Manage cost reporting in accordance with corporate requirements (SHEQ-INS-0800).
  • Develop a team that will deliver the Programme against set objectives, in line with EE requirements;
  • Ensure that all project managers are trained, skilled and that their expertise are optimally applied;
  • Ensure a positive and productive working environment with healthy staff morale; and Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise Project managers and contactors to ensure accountability.

Description
Job Profile:
The Shift Operator operates the plant in accordance with approved work instructions, ensuring the safe and continuous operation of the Surface Fluorination Plant and related processes. The role supports plant efficiency, safety, quality compliance, and operational continuity. The Shift Operator ensures equipment, product handling, and process areas meet required operational and safety standards while adhering to work instructions and management directives.

Plant Operations/Manufacturing
  • Operates daily operational tasks in the fluorination plant to ensure maximum output and continuous operation.
  • Operate equipment and support processes in accordance with approved work instructions, safety protocols, and management guidelines.
  • Perform plant readings, record data, and complete operational checklists accurately and on time.
 
Material Handling
  • Verify correct products and samples on racks before processing; ensure they match operational requirements.
  • Assist in the packing and unpacking of racks in collaboration with the Supervisor, ensuring no disruption to production.
  • Check all products for burn marks or discoloration and report any defects.
  • Participate in the loading and off-loading of trucks, coordinating with the Supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations.
Equipment and Process Maintenance
  • Ensure reactors are thoroughly cleaned and free of contamination before initiating the fluorination process.
  • Report any equipment faults or defects to senior personnel for timely maintenance or repair.

  • Adhere to company SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality) standards, including wearing PPE correctly at all times.

  • Assemble assigned customer orders and place product and records in specific storage/designated areas including filling of customers services records.
  • Occasional delivery of laboratory and office items to destinations between different departmental facilities and to other businesses on demand basis (e.g. collection of contractual customers items)

  • Compile and review on a monthly basis, quarterly & annual reports to comply with statutory requirements – according to PFMA schedule
  • Compile reports (internal & external information) and make recommendations for business strategic choices

Description
Job profile:
To develop, implement, and maintain the Quality System. Manage the IMS (Integrated Management System) and audit processes within the Department / Section including the Department’s operational activities, in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and SHEQ-INS-XXXX series requirements.
 
Key Performance Areas
Quality Systems Applications and Compliance Management
  • Establishment, implementation and maintenance of IMS documents (as per ISO 9001:2015).
  • Schedule and conduct internal audits and job observations / self-assessments of operational tasks to ensure compliance to license and operational requirements.
  • Schedule and conduct external audits on e.g. suppliers and/or customers.
  • Maintaining status lists for NCR’s, PAR’s, CAR’s and ensure that the department’s documents status list is maintained.
  • Registering and handling of customer complaints and customer satisfaction feedback (surveys)
  • Control of documents and records in section.
  • Plan and perform management review meetings at least annually.
Quality Systems / Integrated Management System
  • Compile and update Risk register and involved in verifying the Performance monitoring for the section
  • Involved in reporting: Monthly and quarterly reports for the section
  • Compile and regularly update Action Plans for Inspections and Audits, management review meetings, IMS objectives and facility specific action plans.
  • Review of integrated management system documents and other QA support documents (e.g.

  • Schedule training and awareness on quality / IMS related SHEQ-INS-XXXX series of documents.
  • Training and examining of support staff in Works Instructions as to competency level.
Non-Conformances / Events
  • Management of non-conformances and events / incidents by:
    • Coordinating investigation meetings and preparing investigation and close-out reports
    • Register all non-conformances / events, and follow up and close-out of all open non-conformances / events
    • Register all PARs and CARs, and follow up and close out reports
    • Maintaining status lists for NCR’s, PAR’s, CAR’s and ensure that the department’s documents status list is maintained.
Surveillance
  • Perform quality activities as prescribed in the facility specific QA system (I.e. surveillances, acceptance verifications, etc.); and
  • Perform surveillances on the various processes and operations in the section.
  • Perform routine sample based surveillance of records.
  • Assist facilities to resolve issues if non-compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements has been detected which can endanger the lives of personnel and the environment.
  • Facility specific Ad-hoc tasks and / or operational support.
  • Conduct and Maintain effective Management Reviews Meetings with tracking and verification of action plans.
  • Perform pre-shipment verification for each shipment, and ensure compliance.
  • Involved in verifying the Performance monitoring / involved in verifying performance progress reported during execution of projects listed on the annual plan of action for the section.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
  • National Diploma (in Total Quality Management/ Analytical Chemistry/ Chemistry)
  • OR
  • Preferably a Tertiary technical qualification.
  • Quality Assurance / Quality qualification will be an added advantage
  • ISO 9001 Lead Audit, Implementation and Internal Audit certification will be an added advantage
 
Experience: 
  • 2 years minimum with Quality Management & Assurance experience (minimum 2 year) in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems.
  • 2 years of systems implementation and auditing experience will be an added advantage.
