The following opportunity exists in the Head Office situated in Pretoria, Gauteng to be filled by an individual with the relevant skills, drive, competencies, and qualifications.
 
 
MONITORING AND EVALUATION MANAGER (PERMANENT)
 
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will develop and implement governance processes and organisational performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting, ensuring that strategic objectives and programmes are implemented and reported on. To coordinate, develop, implement and evaluate the Annual Performance Plan (APP). To monitor and evaluate the quarterly reporting cycle ensuring adequate performance evidence exists. To coordinate the performance information required for the Annual Report. To participate in the performance evidence audits as required for governance.
 
The ideal candidate will have: A relevant postgraduate business qualification or equivalent tertiary qualification • A Degree in a relevant science, engineering or business management is essential • Evidence of expertise in organisational governance and business management processes and planning • 5-10 years’ experience of organisational processes preferably within a science, engineering or R&D environment • Knowledge of business and management principles • Insight into the science and technology aspects of SANSA • Ability to collect information, synthesise it and report on it • Good market and trend analysis skills • Good presentation skills • Stakeholder management skills • Knowledge of public entity frame • Sound knowledge of organisational governance and business planning • Knowledge of organisational performance management systems • Knowledge of business intelligence frame works and systems • Budget preparation and monitoring • Reporting skills • Good project, time management, planning and organising skills • Management and leadership skills • Good organisational and communication skills • Excellent coordination, organising and facilitation skills.
 
Key areas of responsibility will include but not limited to:
  • Develop and implement governance processes and organisational performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting;
  • Coordinate, develop, implement and evaluate the Annual Performance Plan (APP);
  • Monitor and evaluate the reporting cycle;
  • Coordinate and assess the performance information required for the Annual Report;
  • People Management.
