COORDINATOR: LEGAL LAND ADMINISTRATION
A challenging vacancy currently exists for a Coordinator: Legal Land Administration to coordinate critical legal land governance and administrative tasks within the Park Planning and Development unit to ensure SANParks compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and processes regarding land inclusion.
Location GROENKLOOF NATIONAL PARK (HEAD OFFICE)
 
Requirements
  • LLB or equivalent. LLM/ PGDip in environmental or property law is desirable.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in administration of legal land processes and procedures (land purchase, land donations, contracts, national park agreements).
  • Good understanding of legal and admin processes and procedures – to be clearly articulated in the CV.
  • Experience in protected area legislation (National Environmental Protected Areas Act, Act 57 of 2003) – to be clearly articulated in the CV.
  • Experience in property-related administration – to be clearly articulated in the CV.
  • Fully computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Packages – to be clearly articulated in the CV.
  • A valid Code 08 or equivalent driver’s licence.
  • Member of the Environmental Law Association is desirable.
 
Responsibilities
  • Prepare land inclusion agreements including contract national park agreements.
  • Coordinate and support the convening of the SANParks Land Inclusion and Planning Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate the development of the Land Inclusion Implementation plan.
  • Coordinate the development of the land inclusion plan and addenda.
  • Conduct relevant enquiries regarding rights on land (mining rights, servitudes, land claims, etc.).
  • Conduct all property due diligence assessments and property reports to identify any risks to SANParks regarding land.
  • Vet all legal land-related contracts and property documents.
  • Establish and update the land inclusion property database.
  • Develop and maintain a database of all SANParks contract national park agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a database of all due diligence reports conducted, land rights information sourced and relevant EIA authorisations received.

The remuneration package includes an all-inclusive cost to company salary, pitched at Grade C5 Paterson Scale.

SALES CONSULTANT
The Organisation requires the services of a Sales Consultant in the Tourism and Marketing Division. This position will be based in the Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.

Requirements
  • Be in possession of a relevant Tourism and Marketing post-matric qualification.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in Tourism /Hospitality.
  • Knowledge of customer service, telephone etiquette, and understanding of the Tourism and Conservation industry is essential.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Communication skills and writing skills.
 
Responsibilities
  • Sell SANParks products to current and potential customers.
  • Corresponding with customers telephonically and via email.
  • Process requests and make reservations in accordance with SANParks policies and procedures.
  • Initiate payment and ensure that relevant documentation is sent to the customer/client.
  • Provide additional information and initiate cross-selling and up-selling of products.
  • Provide consistent and efficient service by upholding good public relations principles to inspire customer loyalty.

Requirements
  • Be in position of an NQF Level 7/ Degree in Human Resources
  • Preferred NQF 8-9/ Post Graduate Course or Honours Degree in HRM
  • Should have at least 5 years of relevant work experience as a Senior Recruitment Manager in a complex environment.
  • Preferred 7 – 8 years of relevant work experience as a Senior Recruitment Manager in a complex environment.
  • Solid experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation at a Senior and Executive Management level.
  • Practical experience with applicant tracking systems and sourcing scarce skills.
  • Knowledge in competency-based interviewing.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the review and development of recruitment policies and procedures.
  • Develop sustainable talent acquisition, hiring plans and strategies, aligned with the organization’s shifting business needs.
  • Design, planning, and executing recruitment and selection processes for the entire SANParks.
  • Review recruitment software and suggest the best option for company needs.
  • Advise line managers on recruitment policies and related procedures.
  • Explore market best practices in the recruitment and placement of employees.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of human resources recruitment teams.
  • Act as a single point of contact for managers regarding recruitment topics.
  • Design recruitment training for human resources recruiters and line managers for the entire SANParks.

  • Lead and manage a talent acquisition team and establish an effective trusting relationship with Senior Management to deliver an efficient value-added Human Capital service.
  • Compile HR Plans and staffing requirements for the department.
