SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONERS (6 POSITIONS)
The Organisation requires the services of 6 Supply Chain Management Practitioners in the Supply Chain Management Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.
Location GROENKLOOF NATIONAL PARK (HEAD OFFICE)
Requirements
- Be in possession of a Post Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management.
- Should be a Specialist in SCM with 1 to 3 years of experience in the public sector.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act.
- Knowledge of procurement policy framework
- Knowledge of logistics management
- Knowledge of SANParks business
- Legal knowledge in relation to Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of the National Supplies Procurement Act.
- Knowledge of the Republic of South Africa.
- Knowledge of computer literacy.
- Managerial skills and analytical skills
- Negotiation and facilitation skills
- Organisational skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regional contract registers used as mechanisms to monitor annual payments to service providers.
- Coordinate the identification of regional procurement needs as informed by the annual procurement plan, business plan, and budget.
- Provide expert, advice to end-users regarding the development of short and long-term service level agreements for repeat purchases in conjunction with the Supply Chain Corporate Office.
- Build, maintain, and manage stakeholder relations.
- Monitor and report on supply chain transactions as per the directive from the corporate supply chain office.
- Manage risks associated with the procurement of services and goods.
- Manage and auditable administrative system of the region’s assets.
- Continuously manage and appraise submissions of the supplier database.
- Coordinate and maintain the pre-vendor qualification directory.
- Continuously evaluate the quality of goods and services rendered by the suppliers and assess their performance.

TOURISM MONITORS PROGRAMME
Advertisement for the appointment of 30 participants for the implementation of the Tourism Safety Monitor Programme under the Department of Tourism. People living with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.
The Department of Tourism hereby invites applications from interested candidates to be part of the Tourism Monitors Programme for a period of 12 months. Candidates are encouraged to only apply to municipalities and establishments within their residential/ local areas. Please take note that successful candidates will be expected to sign a 12-month contract with the service provider to be appointed by the Department of Tourism and deployed at the attractions/sites closer to their residences. The programme will be implemented for 12 months, the three months will be for Theory Training and nine months for Practical Training.

Requirements
- Be a South African citizen (Certified copy of an Identity Document);
- Be unemployed youth between the ages of 18 to 35;
- Be in a possession of matric certificate or any equivalent qualifications;
- Be literate and conversant in English;
- Added qualifications in tourism or environmental-related fields will be an added advantage;
- stay within a 40km – 50km radius of the attractions/ sites. Proof of residence will be required, (e.g.) municipality bill or letter from a tribal authority or ward councillor;
- be able to work flexible hours (e.g.) weekends, public holidays and as-and-when required;
- Have a passion or interest in the tourism sector;
- Must have own reliable transport to and from workplace/station

- Not more than one (1) learner per household
- No affidavits will be accepted as proof of residence
- Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to an interview nearest to their areas of residence. The successful candidates will undergo a medical examination and criminal record clearance before acceptance into the programme.
