DATA ANALYST: HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
The Organisation requires the services of a Data Analyst in the Human Capital Management Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.
Location GROENKLOOF NATIONAL PARK (HEAD OFFICE)
Requirements
- Should have NQF Level 6/National Diploma in Computer Science Statistics, HR, Information Systems/Equivalent qualification
- Should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Statistics, HR, or Information Systems
- Certification in data analysis or statistics
- 5 – 6 years experience in HR Analytics and synthesizing large amounts of complex data into relevant insights.
- Experience in implementing/supporting HR solutions
- Experience with large databases and SQL (Sage 300, SAP, Workday, Peoplesoft, Oracle etc)
- Experience with HR Information systems and reporting modules
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Excel (pivots and VB), PowerPoint, Word
- Experience in PowerBI, Data tables
- 7 – 10 Years’ experience in HR Analytics and synthesizing large amounts of complex data into relevant insights
- Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis languages such as SQL
- Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.
- Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
- Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field being advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Gather data from primary and secondary sources such as ERP, Sage 300 and 3rd Party External sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.
- Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors.
- Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments.
- Manage large databases and SQL (Sage 300, SAP, Workday, Peoplesoft, Oracle etc)
- Create and maintain systems and ad-hoc reports
- The role encompasses various techniques under various umbrellas, such as descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and inferential statistics, to interpret and understand the patterns and behaviours within data.
- The Data Analyst: HCM aims to extract actionable insights from raw data that can influence strategies and operations.
- Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets.
- Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights.
- Extract actionable insights from raw data that can influence strategies and operations.
- Convey insights through both reports and visual presentations.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Improving Efficiency by identifying areas of inefficiency within operations, helps streamline processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Coordinate with management to align business and informational priorities.
- Collaborate with the management team to determine and rank the needs of different business units.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand HCM requirements.
- Provide the groundwork for strategic decision-making by uncovering trends and insights that can guide business strategies and improve outcomes.
- Enhancing employee experience through analyzing employee data allows businesses to understand employee behaviours and preferences, leading to improved HCM business partnering.
- Coordinating the HCM needs in terms of Data Analytics and partnering closely with the HCM Operations team to help scale employee experience across a wide range of Parks.
- Identify potential risks and challenges, enabling businesses to devise strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Manage all audit queries by being the contact person for all audit requirements and access impact and gaps to be addressed within the HCM department.
- Co-ordinate HR compliance, personnel database maintenance, reporting, on/off-boarding
- Maintain internal records and statistics for the department to ensure compliance with audit findings
Salary R282,919.52 – R462,106.49

Requirements
- Should be in possession of a Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or Finance.
- Should have Professional certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
- Should have 5 Years experience in a similar role
- Should have proven working experience as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist
- Should prior experience in HR practices and compensation cycle management
- Should working knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis systems
- Should have previous experience with organisational psychology and labour market surveys
- Should have adequate knowledge of current labour rules and regulations

Responsibilities

- Use various methods and techniques and make data-based decisions on direct financial, indirect financial and nonfinancial compensations

- Develop and manage the annual salary review process, including coordinating with managers to ensure accurate and timely completion of salary adjustments.
