EVENTS COORDINATOR
The purpose of the Events Co-ordinator’s job is to create and executes stakeholder and events strategies to maximise engagement to ensure a positive perception of SANParks by ensuring that all events/functions and executive meetings with internal and external stakeholder are presented in a highly professional way.

Requirements
•3 years Degree in Communications /Public Relations/ Media Studies or equivalent
• Five years’ experience in Stakeholder Relations or Events Management related industry
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of tourism and conservation industry
• Diversity and change management skills
• Be prepared to travel, work irregular hours under extreme pressure

Responsibilities
• Design and implement a corporate engagement strategy/programmes for the Kruger National Park.
• Manage and update the KNP stakeholder database in general.
• To coordinate all Prominent events, government programmes and Executive meetings.
• To co-ordinate international delegates’ visits in the Kruger National Park.
• To organize products and activities, launch functions on behalf of the park.
• To organise and implement revenue generating events on behalf of the park.
• To plan and implement special awards functions for staff e.g. achievement, long service awards, anniversaries, etc.
• To prepare fundraising proposals and to negotiate with other companies for sponsorship of various projects within KNP.
• To contribute articles of the events for publishing to the SANParks internal newsletters.
• To plan and produce and implement a National Calendar of events for the KNP.
• To produce an evaluation report of every function after implementation.
• To advice management on various issues relating to functions and events.
 
Salary R614, 780.02 – R1007, 940.61

PROJECT MANAGER: STRATEGIC LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
The Organisation requires the services of a Project Manager: Strategic Learning and Development in the Human Capital Management Department. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.
Location GROENKLOOF NATIONAL PARK (HEAD OFFICE)
 
Requirements
  • Be in possession of a Post graduate degree in Human Resource Management/development or equivalent.
  • Should have at least 5 – 7 years’ learning experience.
  • 3 – 4 years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of SETA processes.
  • Knowledge of National Skills Development strategy.
  • Skills development facilitation.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or leaders.
  • Knowledge of good Corporate Governance practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and team building skills and ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Knowledge of the B-BBEE codes, education, and SETA Framework.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in such mediums as emails, exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong experience and outgoing personality in fostering relationships and partnerships with HEI’s, SETA’ etc.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate effective implementation of high impact training programmes.
  • Manage the implementation of special projects (co-funded/ collaborations).
  • Compile project proposals and reports as per funder.
  • Identify opportunities and take action to build strategic relationships to help achieve business goals and L&D objectives.
  • Maintain and manage stakeholder relations.
  • Build professional relationship through engagement and regular communication and feedback with strategic partners.
  • Establishing project schedules and milestones, and track budgets.
  • Investigate the option of co-sourcing the L&D function.
  • Analysing the SETA sector skills plan to ensure alignment to L&D strategic programmes.
  • Contribute to the learning and development operations plan.
  • Plan and assess the return on investment for learning and development programmes considering costs and adhering to budget.
  • Implement learning and development initiatives outlined in HCM strategy.
  • Investigate learning platforms considering complexity of SANParks operations.
  • Design and deliver E – Learning courses, workshops and other trainings.
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make most of learning opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Managers to identify competency gaps, training needs and refresher training.
  • Identify learning and learning interventions that require development in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Device, compile and manage a sustainable L&D annual budget, in line with the PFMA and other appropriate legislative documentation.
  • Manage expenditure in line with approved budgets, and report variances as required.
  • Sourcing additional support and funding for learning and development interventions.
  • Monitor financials and assets according to appropriate policies and legislative framework.
  • Track budget and negotiate L&D contracts.
  • Identity and recommend opportunities to enhance learning and development processes.
  • Manages the processes which evaluate impact of L&D programmes / courses /projects.
  • Facilitate, maintain, and support partnerships with setas, HEI, FET and other relevant partners.
