Responsibilities
- Ensure strict compliance with approved maintenance procedures, executing tasks accurately, efficiently, and within specified timelines to maintain aircraft airworthiness standards.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve maintenance issues. Make sound and timely decisions related to aircraft maintenance tasks, considering safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations and procedures.
- Perform inspections, assess maintenance needs, troubleshoot, and verify the completion of tasks to maintain the integrity and safety of aircraft systems and uphold the highest quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring proper sequencing, resource allocation, and efficient utilisation of time and manpower to minimise aircraft downtime.
- Collaborate with team members, technicians, and other stakeholders to achieve shared maintenance goals and objectives.
- Communicate technical information, observations, and findings to colleagues and relevant stakeholders for efficient coordination and decision-making.
- Communicate critical and maintenance-related information to aircrew members, conveying technical details and task progress in a clear and concise manner, and fostering open communication channels.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date maintenance records in accordance with regulatory requirements and organisational guidelines. Data entry, record keeping and documentation must be accurate and precise. Maintenance-related documents, both physical and digital must facilitate easy retrieval, proper storage, and confidentiality.
- Prioritise safety in all maintenance operations; adhere to safety regulations, and actively promote a safety culture among the maintenance team and aircrew members.
- Demonstrate an understanding of potential risks involved in aircraft maintenance operations and remain vigilant in identifying and assessing risks. Assist senior personnel in implementing risk mitigation strategies, following established protocols, and taking appropriate actions to address identified risks.
