Description:
A challenging vacancy currently exists for a Tourism Monitor at Groenkloof National Park reporting to the Senior Manager: Stakeholder Engagement and Capacity Building. The position is on a fixed-term contract up to the end of 31 August 2022. The total remuneration package is a basic salary as per the Expanded Public Works Programme rates of R190.00 per day.

- A grade 12 certificate (Diploma certificate in Natural /Social Science will serve as an added advantage)
- Proficient in English, with the understanding that proficiency in another official language.
- People orientated
- Ability to work long and extended hours
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration linked to the implementation of the SET program
- Coordinate the identification of youth opportunities in SANParks
- Be the link between the TM’s in SET and the BSP office
- Assist with General SET office administration
- Assist in developing a youth empowerment strategy and implementation guidelines.
- Assist in developing and accessing youth empowerment opportunities.
- Monitor and report on the number of opportunities and contracts awarded to Youth Enterprises.
