PROJECT MANAGER: BIODIVERSITY SOCIAL PROJECTS UNIT (TSITSIKAMMA)
Park: Garden Route National Park
 
Description:
The above position is a fixed-term contract position up to 31 March 2024 renewable on mutual agreement. This position is on a C4 Paterson Salary Band total remuneration package of R 19 281.48 as the incumbent will stay inside the park.

Requirements:
  • National Diploma in Conservation or Environmental Management
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience
  • Experience in invasive alien plant clearing is essential for this position
  • Experience in health and safety management and compliance
  • Computer literacy in MS office packages
  • Code B driver's license
 
Responsibilities:
  • Operational planning and assist with strategic planning for the project
  • Managing of the projects according to organisational standards
  • Managing human resources and logistics within the project
  • Management of administrative and financial processes of the project
  • Communication and liaison with stakeholders
  • Compilation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Monthly SHEQ compliance and reporting
  • Conduct self-assessments and prepare project audits
  • Ensure mapping and data recording for the project linked to activities
  • Ensure all relevant data is captured for the project
