PROGRAMME MANAGER: INFRASTRUCTURE

Description:
South African National Parks (SANParks) invite applications for a fixed-term contract position from suitably qualified and experienced persons to manage the SANParks Infrastructure Programme. This position will provide support to the General Manager: Infrastructure & Special Projects to manage and implement approved infrastructure projects and programmes. The position will be responsible to manage and coordinate approved infrastructure projects on a corporate level.
Paterson Grade: D5

 
Requirements:
  • A recognised Degree in any of the built environment disciplines (Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Project Management).
  • Registration with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) or applicable councils as a Professional Construction Project Manager/ Quantity Surveyor/Civil Engineer/Architect is a requirement.
  • Ten years of relevant project management experience in the built environment with a track record that include buildings, roads and bulk services infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the relevant acts, i.e. OHS, EIA Regulations, Construction, etc.
  • Certificates in Health and Safety management.
  • Relevant programme management experience on a corporate level.
  • Experience in labour-intensive construction work and Expanded Public Works Programme will be an advantage.
  • A valid Code EB driver's license and Microsoft Office software competency

Responsibilities:
  • Programme management of all Infrastructure projects
  • Programme planning and implementation over the MTEF and Annual Budget timeframes.
  • Development of project proposals, business plans and project implementation plans.
  • Financial and budget management inclusive of reporting schedules.
  • Project audit and annual audit management.
  • Procurement planning, implementation and compliance of infrastructure projects.
  • Administration and data management for reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Preparation of reports to management and funders.
  • Health and Safety management of construction projects
  • Liaison with funders and role-players.
 
Salary: R 659 752 - R 1 081 678
