PROGRAMME MANAGER
Park: Kruger National Park
Description:
Two-years Fixed Term Contract (Infrastructure Development Programme)
Applications are invited from suitable and qualified candidates for the position of Programme Manager in Kruger National Park. The successful incumbent will be expected to stay outside the park hence the package includes housing. The position will report to the General Manager: Technical Services.
Requirements:
- BEng or BSc Degree in Civil engineering
- Professional registration with ECSA is a compulsory requirement
- Minimum four years' experience post registration with ECSA
- A minimum of 8 years relevant Project/Programme Management experience in the construction industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft project, Excel and Word
- Proficient in the application of the OHSACT, Construction Regulations and National Building Regulations
- Working knowledge in the application of different contractual agreements in the construction sector (e.g. JBCC, GCC, NEC, FIDIC and PROCSA)
- Working knowledge and understanding of the PPPFA and PFMA
- A Valid code EB driver's licence
Additional Requirements
- Extensive working knowledge of SANS 1200 and Colto Specifications
- Proficiency in Autocad, Civil Designer software, Prokon and other civil engineering design software
- Extensive working knowledge of alternative dispute resolution procedures
- Must have good interpersonal and people management skills
Responsibilities:
- Management and implementation of projects and contractors on approved programmes
- Management of project management unit
- Programme Management to ensure that the business plans are implemented
- To compile and manage programme implementation plans
- To provide monthly updated progress reports on all the programmes
- To liaise and co-ordinate with relevant project managers and relevant stakeholders
- To manage programme budgets and provide updated monthly financial reports
- To manage resources required to implement programmes
- To ensure that all financial and other related legislation, policies and SOP's are adhered to
- Oversee the design and construction of civil and building works
- Prepare tender documentation and contracts
- Ensure sound project and contract management of building, civil and roads infrastructure projects relating to maintenance , upgrading and new works
- Ensure compliance with OHSACT and Construction regulations and other legislative requirements
- Management of contracts and contractors as per conditions of contract
- Management of consultants and internal staff as required
- Compilation of cost estimates/ budgets and construction implementation programmes
- To ensure quality assurance and compliance to relevant specifications
