ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT LEAD
Park: Kruger National Park
Description:
A position exists for a one year fixed term contract working within the office of the Managing Executive of the KNP to assist with implementing initiatives related to the KNP Turnaround Strategy.
Terms:
- One year fixed term contract.
- The incumbent need not be based within the KNP but will be required to spend time within the KNP. Accommodation only will be provided whilst in the Park.
- All other associated costs, aside from travel within the Park, or travel to meetings outside the Park from the Park to be covered by the incumbent.
- Cellphone allowance will be provided.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree and relevant postgraduate qualification (preferable).
- Experience in Organisational Development and restructuring projects in the public or private sectors. (Experience in a State-owned Company would be an added advantage).
- Working within a conservation and/or construction and/or facilities management environment would be an added advantage.
- At least 10 years experience in HCM/OD.
- Knowledge of Paterson Grading System or similar grading system.
- Experience in drafting job descriptions.
- Experience in preparing terms of reference for different management and operational committees.
- Excellent written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Divisional Heads and HCM to finalise divisional organograms for the KNP in required SANParks formats.
- Work with the Technical Services division in preparing the structure, framework and positions, job descriptions for A, B and C Graded employees in the Technical Services division.
- Work with the Conservation and Integrity Management division in preparing the revised structure, framework and positions, job descriptions and grading for Rangers and development.
- Assist in establishing relevant structured and skilled maintenance teams for Camp Maintenance including reporting, experience, skills and training requirements.
- Prepare job descriptions in required SANParks format.
- Draft letters to employees on positions as required.
- Assist in the setting up of interviews as required.
- Assist with appointments and/or transfers as required.
- Keep all records of actions and correspondence.
- Prepare standard terms of reference for the various management and operational committees of the KNP.
- Other HCM and Organisational responsibilities as required.
