The Organisation requires the services of a Manager: Logistics Management in the Supply Chain Management Department. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.

Requirements:
  • Be in possession of B.Com degree/B-Tech in Logistics/Warehouse/Purchasing or Supply Chain Management or Equivalent Qualification.
  • Should have 4 - 6 years of Procurement and Logistics management experience in the Public Sector.
  • Expert knowledge of Logistics, maintenance, and fleet planning policies, concepts and functions.
  • Knowledge of strategic development and implementation.
  • Expert in applying the concepts and theories of logistics management.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management.
  • Exceptional total quality management.
  • Relevant legislation, PFMA, OHS etc.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret regulatory, policy and related acquisition guidance.
  • Formulate long-range fleet plans.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
  • Ability to direct, analyze and calculate complex transactions.
  • Project and contract management skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an integrated logistics strategy.
  • Design and develop standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently including warehouse and inventory management
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and warehousing of goods.
  • Manage travel and Accommodation services.
  • Oversee the provision of Corporate Uniform.
  • Coordinate logistics activities related to procurement, funding and end-users.
  • Develop and execute logistics support policy, processes and methodologies to the general benefit of all end users.
  • Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained;
  • Ensure effective commodity management and quality control;
  • Ensure adequate logistics preparedness through contingency planning and continuous logistics preparedness reviews;
  • Ensure dispatch of all goods received, inventory control, stock take, and ensure variances under budget.
  • Ensure compliance with South African National Parks (SANParks) policies and applicable legislation.
  • Lead, develop and manage the human capital of the Unit.
  • Analyse organisational needs and develop a forecast that supports future demands.
  • Develop and ensure maintenance of document systems within SCM.



Salary: R 467 139 - R 616 508
