Description:
We are looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the above-mentioned vacant position of Food and Beverage Manager in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park; reporting to the Hotel Manager.

- Manage restaurants and bars within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Design exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements
- Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- Establish targets, KPIs, schedules and standard operating procedures
- Provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Report to management regarding sales results and productivity
- Manage own cost centre and maintain required gross profit ratios
- Ensure effective stock control over inventory and products
Responsibilities:
- Diploma in Food and Beverage Management or B-Tech in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- 4 - 6 years in the food and beverage environment.
- Driver's Licence (Code B or higher) and ability to qualify and obtain a PDP
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage trends.
- Be able to contribute and initiate creative menus, wine lists and functions
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
The remuneration package includes a basic salary, based on the salary scale of a position with a Paterson D2 job grade and allowances and benefits as specified in the HR Tariff Document and Conditions of Service of SANParks.
