Description:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for a position as Facilities Manager in the Corporate Services Division at the Groenkloof National Park.
The remuneration package includes a basic salary, based on the salary scale of a position with a Paterson C2-Band grading, allowances and benefits as specified in the HR Tariff Document and Conditions of Service of SANParks.

Requirements:
  • Be in possession of a National Certificate / Diploma: Office Administration (NQF 6) or equivalent.
  • 3 years of supervisor and general office administration experience; record keeping; filing; minute taking; financial.
  • 2 years financial; budgetary and procurement experience.
  • 2 years experience of asset management including GIAMA.
  • 2 years exposure to stock taking; asset verification and control measures with accountability.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • 1 year's relevant Occupational Health and Safety exposure; with knowledge of applicable Act and application in operational functions.
  • 1 year of fleet management experience
  • Conflict resolutions experience
  • Valid Driver Licence


Responsibilities:
  • To co-ordinate and manage staff in line with cleaning activities and control.
  • To supervise and assign resources for all relevant activities ensuring quality services rendered to end-users.
  • To oversee and coordinate all departmental asset management requirements as per SANParks policies and procedure.
  • To implement and ensure timeous submission of monthly departmental leave registers; vehicle log sheets; vehicle and staff telephone accounts.
  • To ensure annual renewals of television licenses; vehicle registrations; settling traffic infringement penalties/ fines; payment of e-toll billing and subscriptions.
  • To implement and maintain a high standard of administration that includes; departmental record-keeping; filling of contracts; leave transactions; Occupational Health and Safety documentation and vehicle fleet records.
  • To facilitate Head Office occupational health and safety activities including; monthly OHS committee meetings; compiling risk assessments; reporting injuries on duty and coordinating training.
  • To manage the control of stock and monthly submissions of stock to Finance.
  • Co-ordinate departmental meetings and travel arrangements.
