The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), is the National Medicines Regulatory Authority established in terms of the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 1965, (Act No. 101 of 1965) as amendedtprovide for the monitoring, evaluation, regulation, investigation, inspection, registration and control of medicines, scheduled substances, clinical trials and medical devices, and related matters in the public interest. 
 


GROUP ADMIN ASSISTANT 
Ref No.: SAHPRA 060/2023 
SALARY LEVEL: 5 R 275 240 – 292 124 (all-inclusive total cost to company package) 
CENTRE: PRETORIA 
 
REQUIREMENTS: National Diploma in Office Management and Technology or related equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 (360 credits) as recognised by SAQA. Minimum of two (2) years of administration experience. 
 
CORE COMPETENCIES AND TECHNICAL PROFICIENCIES: Knowledge of the PFMA and Treasury regulations; * Administrative and organizational skills; * Willingness to work extended hours as and when required; * Ability to communicate at all levels; * Deadline driven; * Attention to detail; * Versatility; * Team player and able to work independently. 
 
DUTIES: Administrative Support: Arranging unit meetings, functions, workshops, etc. as required. Taking minutes in unit meetings and following up on the implementation of resolutions. Coordinates the procurement the units requirements (Stationery, tea, coffee, etc). Ensures all unit printers are functional at all times (Catriages, paper, maintenance). Managing the mail register, receiving, registering, and distributing incoming documents. Typing letters, submissions, memoranda, and routine correspondence as required. 
Corporate Support Coordination: Oversees compliance of Health and safety regulations in collaboration with facilities unit. Support the quality manager in documentation and storage of SOP’s. Coordinates training courses for the unit, venue bookings, travel and accommodation, etc. 
Performing ad hoc duties as and when required.
