The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) is the National Medicines Regulatory Authority established in terms of the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 101 of 1965, as amended, to provide for the monitoring, evaluation, regulation, investigation, inspection, registration and control of medicines, scheduled substances, clinical trials and medical devices, and related matters in the public interest.
 


CONTENT MANAGER 

SALARY LEVEL 11: R886 400.00 - R954 919.00 per annum. (TOTAL COST TO COMPANY)

REQUIREMENTS: •Matric certificate and appropriate B-degree in Journalism, Media Studies, or Communication at NQF Level 7, as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). 
 
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience. At least 3 years of experience working with Content Management Systems (CMSs) and working on multiple platforms for messaging. A valid driver’s licence is required.

DUTIES:
  • Content Development: *Content Management Processes - Proposing, compiling, and maintaining content development guidelines and processes. *Development of a consolidated internal content hub [intranet]. 
  • Content Management: *Editing and Proofreading (across all internal and external platforms as well as major publications). *Coordinating, compiling, and disseminating periodic reports on the function’s outputs. 
  • Strategic Messaging & Document Development: *Developing fact sheets, speeches, website articles, thought leadership articles, newsletters, and emailers. *Development of content for internal platforms [intranet/Engage]. *Updating guidelines on the style guide. 
  • Customer Relations: *Internal Surveys (short/snap to understand needs of staff). *External Surveys (poll media/industry on whether articles are on target). *Webinar/Training sessions. *Managing and addressing social media queries. 
  • Staff Relations: *Internal training to improve staff communication, language and writing. *Internal training on CI, branding, and communication processes. *Outsourced training.

​DEPUTY MANAGER: FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

SALARY: R1 050 503 – R1 114 970 PER ANNUM (TOTAL COST TO COMPANY)

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must hold a Matric certificate and possess a relevant three-year National Diploma at NQF Level 6/7 in Facilities Management, Safety Management, or an equivalent qualification.
 
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years’ experience in Facilities and Property Management and demonstrated familiarity with OHSA. SACPCMP training certification. CFM certification can be advantageous. OSHA diploma/certification (First Aid/Fire Fighting/SHE Representative/SHE Incident investigator). SAMTRAC certificate can be advantageous.

DUTIES: Strategic Management: Manage building infrastructure & facilities management. *Updated information on the Lease Register biannually. *Building maintenance inspections reviewed quarterly. *Submission on the procurement of office accommodation. *Management of space planning and coordination of staff moves at all the SAHPRA offices. *Manage parking-related matters. *Fire equipment is serviced on an annual basis. *Ensure that all SAHPRA buildings are compliant with safety codes and regulations by conducting building inspections monthly.
Manage and monitor cleaning & sanitation services within SAHPRA Offices. *Inspection reports prepared by the FMU team, audited, and signed off. *Signed minutes submitted to the Chief Operations Officer one week after the quarterly meetings. *Cleaning detergents distribution register audited and signed off. *Annual schedule for periodic cleaning and deep cleaning activities confirmed. 
Effectively manage access control and building security. *Manage keys and key control of all doors within the building and lockable furniture items. *Ensure that access control is in good, working condition.
Manage stakeholder relations. *Attend meetings with stakeholders. *Communicate building maintenance and repair plans to clients. *Communication to clients on building maintenance progress. *Engage with the landlord and identify the roles and responsibilities of the landlord and SAHPRA. *Consult with clients on all levels to determine their needs.
Manage the SAHPRA fleet and drivers. *Monthly review of overtime claim forms from drivers before submitting to the CEO for sign-off. *Monthly spot check review of 5-8 cars’ tracking data to identify any issues of speeding, misuse of vehicles outside of office hours, and incidents not reported by drivers to the supervisor. *Assist fleet supervisor with any investigations and follow-on actions as a result of incidents/misuse of vehicles. *Monitor and manage annual licence renewals. *Monitor and manage vehicle services - they are serviced as per service intervals. *Monitor and manage weekly vehicle inspections conducted by the fleet supervisor and driver. *Manage and monitor transport budget per month to ensure the monthly budget is not exceeded by controlling the number of approvals for the Operations Cost Centre.
Financial management: *Effectively manage the budget for the accommodation and municipal accounts for SAHPRA Offices. *Effective management of expenditures and implementation of cost saving initiatives.
Risk, compliance and governance: *Manage the implementation of security standards within SAHPRA. *Assists with security audits. *Compiles the associated risks register and manages mitigation of safety and security risks. *Assists with security investigations. *Conducts quarterly H&S inspections for all SAHPRA offices and compiles the reports for approval by the Section 16.2. *Compile, review and/or update facilities management policies, SOPs and guidelines, and train all SAHPRA staff. *Ensure OHS compliance within SAHPRA. *Conduct OHS inspections with SAHPRA Offices. *Hold monthly/quarterly OHS Committee meetings. *Facilitate the appointment of SHE Representatives.
