Role Mandate
To provide comprehensive human resource and procurement administrative support to the plantation, including purchasing of materials, goods and coordinating maintenance of forestry vehicles and machinery.
Key Accountabilities
· Capture Production Control Sheets (PCS) for all production employees
· Ensure all documents related to appointments (on boarding), terminations, etc. are submitted to Shared Service timeously for processing
· Maintain accurate and secure employee personal files and update all required documentation
· Record injury-on-duty (IOD) information and ensure timely submission of appointment, termination, and other HR-related documents to Shared Services/Payroll
· Update HR Plan in collaboration with the Plantation Manager
· Address employee queries and escalate to relevant HC Practitioner when necessary.
· Submit monthly leave summary to Shared Services and process standby and overtime allowances for employees
· Coordinate training requests, schedules, training administration for submission
· Compile monthly disciplinary statistics and submit them to ER office
· Provide files and coordinate annual medical screening on site
· Manage Driver Operator license, PrDP and SAFCOL competency and ensure renewal
· Reconcile fuel reports on monthly basis and update housing register and village registers on monthly basis
· Download data loggers on daily basis, issue log tags and tally sheet
· Order log tags for client deliveries and update data logger information on weekly basis
· Perform daily processing of PSION files and tally sheets, report daily volumes and send timber sales reports to clients
· Perform month-end reconciliation on volumes and deliveries
· Control issue of PSION device, battery replacements tally sheets and log tags
· Confirm APO compartments and clients’ specifications with Foresters
· Process all internal payments on monthly basis and reconcile payments and submit for approval
· Ensure all private tenants have completed and signed the required contracts
· Administer petty cash and reconcile every month-end
· Collect revenue from customers and ensure safekeeping and perform banking of all monies received
· Ensure safekeeping of receipt books for audit purposes
· Process fuel received and issued on SAGE X3 and reconcile fuel reports monthly
· Process all log sheets on SAGE X3 system and balance vehicle log sheets
· Provide timesheet and man-days report on monthly basis
Minimum Requirements
· Grade 12
· Certificate in Human Resource Management/ Financial/ Office Administration or related field (NQF level 5)
· National Diploma in Human Resource Management/ Financial/ Office Administration (NQF Level 6) will be added advantage

Role Mandate

Operate boilers to ensure steam generation and Safety in a high-risk environment.

· Feed boilers with fuel / biomass (sawdust and dry chips)
· Perform pre-operational check related to safety apparatus i.e. water level check glass, mobrey test, pumps and control panels
· Monitor control apparatus during operations for effective water feeding, fire control and steam generation
· Ensure constant supply of steam according to Kiln requirements at an average of 500 Kpa full load for all kilns
· Monitor stock levels on fuel and chips bin

· Inspect conveyors (belts & chains), sprockets, pipes, valves, pumps and water tanks
· Treat and monitor boiler water quality by ensuring adequate chemical dosage daily

Role Mandate
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, ensure high plant availability and reliability, enable effective and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to breakdowns, perform equipment maintenance and repairs diligently to reduce downtime
· Ensure high quality maintenance services and repairs in line with Millwright Artisanship Trade
· Ensure maximum plant availability for both electrical and mechanical elements in-line with set standards and industry benchmark
· Conduct preventative maintenance checks, inspection according to maintenance standards and schedule
· Install and service electrical and electronic apparatus / systems / instruments i.e., pumps, PLCs, motors, fans, blowers, gearboxes, pipes, valves, electrical control gears etc.
· Overhaul and service electrical motors and drive gearboxes
· Perform maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatics power systems
· Conduct bulk infrastructure maintenance on powerlines i.e. high- and low-tension power circuits / systems (22KV & 220V), power plants (switch gear) and generators
· Read and interpret technical drawings / schematics for faults diagnosis timeously
· Perform basic welding in line with Artisanship Trade
· Conduct maintenance in accordance with prescribed scheduled maintenance plans including routine lubrication, filter changes, greasing, gearbox oil top-up etc.

Role Mandate
To develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance programme for the SAFCOL fleet, ensuring optimal reliability, safety, and cost‑effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities
· Establish and manage workshops (e.g., Tweefontein) as centres of excellence for operations
· Supervise fleet repair and maintenance teams to ensure effective daily operations.
· Develop, review, and implement company-wide operational maintenance procedures, standards, and control protocols.
· Determine annual vehicle fleet requirements, fleet replacement specifications, and optimal fleet allocation to business units.
· Manage fleet utilisation, age, performance, and cost efficiency, including the annual auction of replaced fleet and other written-off assets.
· Implement maintenance strategies and policies to continuously reduce costs and improve fleet efficiency.

SENIOR AUDIT MANAGER: ICT, OPERATIONS AND FINANCE
Status: Permanent

Reporting line: Chief Audit Executive
Role Mandate
Effectively lead and develop Audit Team to implement audit plans and activities as scheduled, generate final audit reports for internal review and lead implementation and follow-up audits on previously identified findings in order to provide assurance for high-risk areas. Manage audit scope including but is not limited to regulations of Forestry and State-Owned entities, Information and Communication Technology controls, policies and procedures, financial controls, policies and procedures and other divisional/departmental policies and procedures and business efficiency audits. Provide consultative services to business to improve efficiency, controls and mitigate risks. Optimise risk and control oversight through coordinating and monitoring activities of Combined Assurance in SAFCOL.
Key Accountabilities
· Provide input on development of Internal Audit strategy and three-year rolling Audit Plan aligned to Company’s strategy and strategic and operational risk registers with input from internal stakeholders and external audit guidance
· Translate Internal Audit strategy and three-year rolling Audit Plan to a 12 month / annual Audit Plan and audit activities
· Direct and lead activities of a team to ensure implementation of the Internal Audit strategy and Audit Plan
· Drive implementation of IA methodology in line with approved IA charter and driving methodology implementation
· Ensure IA risk assessment is conducted, audit and facilitate acquisition of audit tools
· Ensure Internal Audit provides independent and objective assurance to ARC
· Recommend revisions or additions to policies and procedures in order to improve operational efficiencies or internal controls
· Prepare and complete analysis or conduct special audits as directed by Chief Audit Executive, and draft and issue audit reports
· Respond to ad-hoc requests to address control issues on new business processes, policies and processes
· Track and monitor appropriate follow-up actions on audit findings and agreed action by internal stakeholders
· Provide guidance on testing methodologies to evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of controls
· Identify improvement areas of methodology and processes as per best practice and put in place remedial actions

· Assist Chief Audit Executive with preparation of reports and required information for the Board and its Committees, as and when required.
· Provide support to CAE in discharging his/her duties and responsibilities with regards to implementing and embedding Combined Assurance Framework principles operationally as approved by ARC irt:
o Develop and maintain policies and frameworks for SAFCOL Combined Assurance model
o Develop, implement and monitor work plans for Combined Assurance forum
· In consultation with Combined Assurance forum:
o Establish a common view of business risk and threat themes throughout entity
o Develop Combined Assurance Plan and coordinate mapping of assurance activities to strategic risks and organisational goals
o Consolidate assurance activities linked to the strategic and / or key risks of company
· Provide quarterly progress reports against assurance plans to CAE, EXCO and Audit and Risk Committee (ARC)

· Sound knowledge and experience in auditing include:
· Operational and financial policies, procedures and controls
o Information Technology environments for compliance with applicable regulations, internal controls, development frameworks and best practices
o Safety legislation and
o Legislation related to State Owned Entities such as PFMA Act
· In-depth understanding of IT governance, control framework such as COBIT and prevailing King Code of Corporate Governance
· Sound knowledge of IFRS and GAAP requirements and SAICA rules
· Valid driver’s license
