SOUTH AFRICAN FORESTRY COMPANY (SAFCOL) - SAW MILLING LEARNERSHIP - 2020

 
Applications are invited from unemployed youth who wish to pursue a Programme career in Sawmilling. The suitable candidates will be granted an opportunity to attend a 12 months National Certificate: Saw Doctoring NQF level 2 Learnership Programme. Learners will be studying and doing practicals at Timbadola Training Centre situated in Levubu, Limpopo Province, to complete both the theoretical and practical components of the Learnership.
 
Upon successful completion of the Learnership, learners will receive a nationally recognised qualification (National Certificate: Saw Doctoring NQF 2). Learners will gain work experience that will improve their chances of employment with Sawmilling and Furniture Making companies and also provide opportunities to set up their own small business. Learners will also gain links with employment networks to get jobs.
 
A monthly stipend will be allocated to learners for the duration of the Learnership. When making the final selection preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals i.e. people living with disabilities, females & youth from communities adjacent to SAFCOL plantations and communities we have signed social compacts with.
