Role Mandate
To provide SAFCOL with best of breed Organisational Development, Organisational Design and Change Management solutions to the business. Lead and drive the facilitation of organizational improvement plans, organizational redesign, and change management, consulting on OD strategies, job evaluations, providing information, advice, and services as required and working with teams across the organisation.
Contribute to the design and delivery of people strategy, ensure development of organisational development strategies and the management of change in support of the Company’s strategic and operational plans, providing information, advice, and services as required.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the talent management, organisational development and design strategies and frameworks to drive organisational effectiveness.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and ideas to the development of the Company’s Human Capital strategy in order to ensure that organisational development initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals.
  • Design and deliver OD and change management strategies, processes and interventions that support the Company’s ambition to be a high performing organisation, to include initiatives which foster a high-performance culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity are the norm.
  • Design and delivery of any culture, climate, or employee engagement surveys on behalf of the organization for the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Design and delivery of any OD and change initiatives to ensure that the workforce is appropriately engaged.
  • Provide expert OD advice on strategic organizational processes.
  • Ensure that the touch points between OD programmes & other organisational initiatives are managed appropriately e.g., EE, talent management & L&D etc.
  • Manage, recommend, and coordinate OD interventions and ensure OD interventions/programs are implemented in line with strategic objectives and plans.
  • Act as a change agent providing support & mechanism to implement major changes to the business operations & provide guidance to leaders & executives on management & implementation of changes.
  • Identify potential OD problem areas and facilitate resolution thereto and/or recommend solutions to address challenges and system bottlenecks.
  • Design & delivery of strategic OD & Change Management interventions to ensure that the organisation is optimally resourced with the best human capital strategies and resources.
  • Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
  • Drive organizational-wide implementation of all talent management programmes – talent reviews, succession planning, career development in line with people agenda.
  • Ensure that talent initiatives are rolled out effectively in line with EE and other related objectives.
  • Ensure that the performance management framework, system process is designed and implemented effectively.
  • Work with teams across the Company to support a continuous organisational performance optimisation, which helps the Company to achieve its ambition of becoming a high performing organisation.
  • Identify opportunities for performance optimisation through, for example, undertaking internal OD diagnosis, process/system reviews in order to understand barriers and possible solutions, conducting external research into good practice and new ideas.
  • Develop & implement processes for organizational structure changes & ensure that organisational structures are up to date and in line with the organisational strategy & SAFCOL’s approved design principles.
  • Develop and maintain SAFCOL competency architecture and framework.
  • Oversee company’s job evaluation system, advising on job design, job profiles and the correct grading of jobs.
  • Provide HC expertise to the area of responsibility within the Group to ensure that the business strategy is met in conjunction with other HC Centers of Excellence i.e., L&D, ER, HC Operations etc.
  • Manage the operating Model within sphere of control and ensure the continuous improvement thereof to ensure business improvement.
  • Facilitate the development of standards, frameworks, policies, and procedures to support high quality OD services and processes.
  • Develop and submit required reports and plans on OD & Talent Management
  • Produce high-level and timely reports and business motivations to management, as and when required.
  • Ensure timely completion of OD projects, facilitation and liaison with relevant stakeholders, including external service providers.
  • Consult, coordinate, and facilitate team meetings, team building, and resolving work group conflict, changes in-group in norms, values, and culture.
  • Provides a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees and management OD interventions, change management and related policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships between line of business and the various HC business partners.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • A Post Graduate Degree in Social Science/Commerce or equivalent NQF Level 8 qualification – Human Resources/Psychology
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Organisational Development & Design role, with at least 3 years’ experience in Change Management/Talent Management or HR Generalist experience with specific focus to OD, Organisational Design, Change Management & Talent & Performance Management
  • NQF Level 9 – will be an added advantage
  • Leadership Development or Business Management/Administration Post Graduate training – will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Change Management Models
  • Job Evaluation & Grading Systems
  • Competency Architectural Design
  • Registered Psychometrist not essential, but will be an added advantage
  • Coaching – will be an added advantage
  • Valid Driver’s License
