DRIVER OPERATOR
Status: Permanent
Location: Ngome Plantation
Grade: B3
Reporting Line: Forester: Silviculture
Role Mandate
To operate specific allocated vehicles and machines in a safe, productive and cost effective manner.
Key Accountabilities
Drive/operate in a safe manner not to endanger machines, property or people
Operate tractor to open roads and cut grass
Operate tractor to prepare fire belts
Transport labour in the plantation
Operate three wheeler and skidder
Operate fire truck when required during burning of fire breaks and fire fighting
Maintain skidder, three-wheel, labour and fire trucks including daily inspection, services, cleaning and greasing
Report faults immediately
Keep logbook up to date
Perform adhoc duties as and when required
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 7
Valid driver’s license code C1 or EC with PDP
3 Years’ experience in similar environment
Mechanical background will be advantageous
