DRIVER OPERATOR
Status: Permanent
Location: Ngome Plantation
Grade: B3
Reporting Line: Forester: Silviculture
 
Role Mandate
To operate specific allocated vehicles and machines in a safe, productive and cost effective manner.

Key Accountabilities
 Drive/operate in a safe manner not to endanger machines, property or people
 Operate tractor to open roads and cut grass
 Operate tractor to prepare fire belts
 Transport labour in the plantation
 Operate three wheeler and skidder
 Operate fire truck when required during burning of fire breaks and fire fighting
 Maintain skidder, three-wheel, labour and fire trucks including daily inspection, services, cleaning and greasing
 Report faults immediately
 Keep logbook up to date
 Perform adhoc duties as and when required
 
Qualifications & Experience
 Grade 7
 Valid driver’s license code C1 or EC with PDP
 3 Years’ experience in similar environment
 Mechanical background will be advantageous
