Description
Overall Purpose of the Job
- The post holder will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions, web applications, custom software solutions, and automate business processes using the Microsoft technology stack.
- Develop, configure and maintain SharePoint solutions by leveraging SharePoint configuration tools and writing custom code using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.
- Develop custom software solutions using C# programming language and .NET framework.
- Develop Web Applications Architectural Design and Integration
- Build and modify wed applications using the required Web Application Languages
- Configuring the company SharePoint systems to specified requirements.
- Eradicate tedious workflow and duplications within existing workflows.
- Enhance system controls in existing web applications.
- Review and refine existing web application architectural design.
- Oversee service providers who provides web applications development services.
- Extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.
- Deliver Business Solutions to agreed quality, time, and cost scales.
- Deliver well-tested and quality assured Business Solutions
- Debug software for client applications to ensure that it is fit for purpose.
- Resolve web application issues raised during User Acceptance Testing
- Providing end-user training on developed and improved Web Applications
- Oversee architectural design and integration content management, portals, collaboration, business process or other solutions.
- Liaise with services providers and internal stakeholders to coordinate services
- Work with Business Analyst to interpret requirements for application enhancements and development.
Providing support for projects during installation and post implementation
- Investigate and resolve application issues within the agreed SLA
Respond to system issues, end-user queries and maintenance requests. - Provide user training to staff as and when requested
- Plan and implement software version upgrade in line with software releases roadmap
- Review website interface and software stability.
- Maintain, support, and improve web applications.

TESTING STANDARDS OFFICER (MIDRAND)

Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for licensing standards and regulations for all aircrew licenses; oversight of Designated flight examiners, Radio telephony Examiners and Language proficiency examiners; approval and oversight of examination centres. Monitor the conduct of pilot instructors and designated examiners. Submit memos to LAC for further investigation or enforcement action against instructors and examiners. Conduct and participate in review boards for the designation and re-designation of pilot instructors and designated examiners. Respond to queries regarding crew licensing, instructors, designated examiners, training or assessment from industry and the Authority. Provide technical assistance to other states, industry and licensing office. Participate in national seminars, conferences and workgroups related to flight instructors, designated examiners or inspector duties. Maintain procedure documents related to TSO inspectors for flight crew instructors or designated examiners.
CATS and CAR Development
In co-operation with Managers: Licensing and Examinations
Develop
and implement Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Civil Aviation Technical Standards (CATS) for the Civil Aviation Regulations Part 62, 68, 69 ,71,72 in compliance with the Standards and Recommended Practices of ICAO Annex 1
Operational Management
•Conduct audits and inspections as per SACAA Procedures to establish compliance.
•Conduct oversight on the activities of designated flight examiners, Radiotelephony examiners, Language Proficiency examiners and flight instructors
•Make relevant recommendations pertaining to safety management systems.
•Investigate regulatory non-compliances and recommend remedial or enforcement measures.
•Provide factual reports of audits and inspections conducted on the training organisations.
•Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective action and the closure of action within allocated time frames.
•Facilitate approval, and their maintenance with respect to Training and Procedures Manuals
•Support the Licensing Administration function within SACAA, including the assessment of applications, against legal requirements in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2011, Parts ,61, 62, 63, 68, 69 and 71.
•Investigate and recommend action to the Director on any deviations from requirements.
•Introduce adequate measures to enable SACAA to effectively carry out its mandate of Safety and Security Oversight
•Update and amend all documentation, checklists, and procedures to ensure compliance with the regulations.
•Review applications for the accreditation of military experience.
•Review applications for the conversion of validation for foreign licences where directed.
Support to PEL sections and departments, design of training and testing standards, safety promotion, industry liaison and client service.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification: National Pilot Licence and Flight Instructor rating issued under Part 62/68 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2011
Experience: 200 hours' flight instructor training experience

ATO INSPECTOR PILOT/FSTD (GAUTENG)

Description
Responsible for Licensing standards and regulations for all aircrew licenses, oversight of designated flight examiners, approval and oversight of examination centres.
CATS and CAR development
Develop and implement CARs and CATS for Part 141 and Part 64 in compliance to the standards and recommended practices of ICAO Annex 1
Operational Management
- Approve and conduct audits on all Part 141 Certificate holders conducting aviation training as per the Master Surveillance Plan to establish compliance.
- Qualify FSTDs regulated by Part 60 and conduct audits as per the Master Surveillance Plan to establish compliance.

Communications and Safety Promotion
- Project a professional and positive image of the CAA to all stakeholders.

- Participate with industry through workshops and conferences in the development of:
The oversight system to portray a positive image of the SACAA.
- Liaise with industry to record problem-solving solutions and convey knowledge to the industry to allow for the improvement of standards.
Requirements
Commercial Pilot License with ATPL subjects or Frozen ATPL plus SA Air Force Flight Instructor rating or Flight Instructor rating issued under Part 61 or Part 62 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2011
300 hours - 500 hours flight instructor training experience
Applicants are to include a table indicating all flight experience by day and night including flight instructor experience and should also indicate experience flown as pilot or flight instructor on aircraft class, model or type.
