LOCATION: Seda National Office 
 
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To define, operate and manage Seda’s information security management system and services to minimise business impact of operational information security vulnerabilities and incidents in line with Seda’s ICT governance framework and policies. 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
❖ Establish, review and manage implementation of an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
❖ Define and manage an Information Security Risk Treatment Plan.
❖ Manage endpoint security of all devices connecting to network.
❖ Manage the protection of systems against software malware.
❖ Manage security of converged network, user identity and logical access.
❖ Manage physical access to ICT assets, sensitive documents and output devices.
❖ Monitor, report and evaluate the ICT infrastructure for security-related events. 
 
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION
❖ Matric (NQF Level 4) plus National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology/Computer Science/ Information Systems.
❖ Must be certified as an Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP).
❖ Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Information Technology/Computer Science/ Information Systems as an added advantage.
❖ SAQA recognised Certificate in any of the following ICT standards (ITIL, ISO 27000 and COBIT 5) will be an added advantage.
❖ SAQA recognised Risk-related industry-standard qualifications such as CISA, CISM or CGEIT as an added advantage. 
 
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
❖ 4 – 6 year’s work experience in ICT Disaster Recovery and Service Continuity.
Able to demonstrate:
❖ Understanding of enterprise, network, system, and application level security principles.
❖ Experience and knowledge of NIST, ISO 27002, and/or other security frameworks.
❖ Understanding of Industrial Control Systems in relation to utility practices for operational technologies and service delivery.
❖ Ability to project manage and can successfully complete projects from inception to closure. 
 
INHERENT JOB REQUIREMENTS
❖ Valid South African Driver’s License.
❖ Able to comply with Seda security clearance requirements.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan, design, implement, configure, maintain and ensure efficient and effective performance management of all Seda database management systems (DBMSs) and data warehouse system to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability and consistent performance of enterprise-wide business applications. 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
❖ Database and Data warehouse Planning, Design and Implementation.
❖ Database Administration.
❖ Data Security Management.
❖ Database and Data warehouse Support.
❖ Data policies, processes, procedures and standards maintenance.
❖ Service Level Management. 
 
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION
❖ Matric (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology or Computer Science or Information Systems.
❖ Must have SAQA recognised industry Microsoft Certified DBA with MCSE or MCSA.
❖ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Information Systems as an added advantage.
❖ Certified in any of the following ICT standards (ITIL, ISO 27000, COBIT 5) as an added advantage. 
 
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
❖ 4 - 6 years’ experience in administering Microsoft SQL server databases (SQL Server 2008 and 2012) of which:
− At least 3 year’s experience working in Virtualized environments (VMware ESX 4.1 and later versions).
− At least 3 year’s has been at Senior/Lead Database Administrator level, with proven track record of maintaining enterprise database environments.
Able to demonstrate:
❖ Experience in Linux based database platforms (Oracle, MySQL, Centos, Red Hat) will be an added advantage
❖ Experience with Storage Area Network environments (SAN)
❖ Experience in database administration in a clustered environment (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL)
❖ Knowledge of other database platforms (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, NoSQL) will be an added advantage
❖ Installations, upgrades, configuration and administration of servers (Windows server 2008 and 2012, Active Directory 2008, MOM, SMS and LCS, SQL 2012, Linux)
❖ Project Management skills will be an added advantage
