Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) is a newly established university providing holistic Health Sciences education, situated at Garankuwa. The following Internship Programme positions (12 months) are currently available: 
 
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION (5 POSTS) 
12 Months Internship Programme

The incumbent will be trained to coordinate and manage Marketing and Public Relations within the university. The incumbent reports to the Marketing and Communications, and must meet the requirements, competencies and be responsible for the following key performance areas below
 
Requirements:
 A three (3) year post matric Diploma in Marketing/Public Relations 
 Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
 Good interpersonal skills 
 Good communication skills (both verbal and written) 
 Ability to work in a team 
 Ability to pay attention to detail 
 Ability to multi-task 
 
Key performance Areas 
 Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends 
 Assist with daily administrative duties in branding, publication, alumni, Communication, events, student recruitment, website and radio
  Design and present new social media campaign ideas 
 Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback 
 Prepare detailed promotional and branding presentations 
 Help with the planning and hosting of marketing events 
 Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content 
 Contribute to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content 
 Contribute to the overall development of SMU 
 
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE COMPLETED THEORETICAL PART OF THEIR QUALIFICATION AND REQUIRE WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING (WIL) TO GRADUATE.
