Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) is a newly established university providing holistic Health Sciences Education, and is situated at Ga-Rankuwa. The following position(s) is/are currently available. 
 
LECTURER (2 posts) 
REF:33 /2019/JSM/P8 
 
 
The incumbent will be responsible for Teaching, Learning, Research and Community Engagement in the Department within Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. The incumbent will report to the HOD, and must meet the requirements, competencies and be responsible for the following key performance areas below: 
 
REQUIREMENTS
 Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology 
 Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist 
 Teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate levels at a tertiary institution 
 Experience in course design and implementation 
 Willingness to supervise and guide undergraduate and post graduate students 
 Computer literacy 
 PhD research protocol development will be an added advantage 
 
 
COMPETENCIES
 Fully computer literate and able to use software like Word, PowerPoint and Excel 
 Good management and communication skills 
 Good presentation skills 
 Interpersonal skills 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
 Teaching undergraduate and post graduate students 
 Conduct independent research and participate in departmental research projects 
 Participate in undergraduate curriculum design and development 
 Participate in the administration of the departmental activities 
 Participate in the departmental community projects 
 Participate in the department and university academic citizenship activities 
 Contribute to the overall development of SMU
