SENIOR MANAGER: SCM 
6 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT 
SALARY NEGOTIABLE BASED ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
 
This position is available in the Finance Department at Robben Island Museum. The purpose of the position is to provide high level supply chain management advisory services to the RIM Executive and to provide direction to the supply chain management unit to ensure optimum efficiency in service delivery that is based on fairness, transparency, competitiveness and cost-effectiveness. The post holder must be capable of challenging, influencing, making high-level decisions and effectively managing relationships; whilst demonstrating a passion for procurement 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
▪ SCM Advisory services 
▪ Bid Committee-BAC, BEC, BSC (effective functioning, facilitation and guidance) 
▪ Manage the RIM bidding process and procedures 
▪ Manage the SCM Compliance Function 
▪ Facilitate compliance on SCM prescripts, processes, procedures as well as the development of SCM policies and guidelines. 
▪ Manage the Acquisition section (Systems, procedures, processes) 
▪ Manage the demand management and needs analysis processes 
▪ Monitor SCM performance 
▪ Manage training 
 
Requirements and Experience: 
▪ Post Graduate Degree/ Honours (NQF 8) in business/Procurement/ supply chain management or Logistics or any related qualification. 
▪ Master’s Qualification (NQF 9) will be advantageous. 
▪ Minimum 8 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management of which 5 years’ experience is in management position within a similar industry.

​SENIOR MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES 

PERMANENT CONTRACT 
The above position is available in the Human Resources Department at Robben Island Museum (RIM). 
The incumbent will work closely with business leaders to ensure that HR programs and services support and drive the strategic objectives of RIM. Guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for RIM. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Implement RIM core values, people values and ethics programs. 
  • Plan, directs and organise the analysis, activities, and preparation of human resources systems, procedures, and practices. 
  • Establish Human Resources procedures and operations consistent with legislative requirements (BCEA, EEA, OHASA, SDA, SDLA) and RIM policies. 
  • Assess and evaluate current procedures and recommend changes. 
  • Serve as liaison between RIM management and staff to discuss and resolve a variety of human resources issues such as staffing, reorganization, policy and rule interpretation and related personnel issues. 
  • Conduct research, analysis and studies to address major issues and problems related to Human Resources and recommend or initiate programs or actions to resolve problems and enhance services. 
  • Develops databases, gathers and analyses trends and data; prepares reports and formulate recommendations regarding specialized Human Resources activities. 
  • Plan, develop and recommend new or revised Human Resources policies and programs to meet the operating needs of the RIM and the needs of its staff. 
  • Analyse and evaluate the impact of proposed legislation and rule changes; assisting in the establishment of institutional Human Resources policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Develop program proposals and procedures and interpret and apply diverse policies, rules and regulations to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of Human Resources Department operations. 
  • Participate in the planning and development of the Human Resources Departmental budget; reviews and recommend controls to the approved budget. 
  • Provide internal/external training both orally and in writing on Human Resources systems, procedures and practices. 
  • Serve on various RIM committees as representative of the Human Resources Department. 
 
Requirements and Experience: 
  • Postgraduate degree (NQF 8) in Human Resource Management or any related qualification 
  • MBA (NQF 9) will be advantageous 
  • 8 years HRM experience of which 5 years is in management role within a similar industry

​PERFORMANCE PLANNING AND RISK MANAGER 

3 MONTHS FIXED TERM 
TOTAL COST TO COMPANY: R 706 763, 80 – R 780 267, 62 
 
The purpose of the job is to identify, assess, and prioritize risks that may impact the organization, and to implement and coordinate risk management strategies that enable effective risk control. The role also includes overseeing the management of performance information systems to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Additionally, the incumbent will provide expert advice on potential threats to the organization's profitability or sustainability, and will develop plans to mitigate, avoid, reduce, or transfer identified risks. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
Risk Management: 
  • Ongoing enterprise risk assessment and management of the risk register. 
  • Quarterly risk workshops with senior management. 
  • Development and updating of risk management framework and policies and procedures. 
  • Monitoring of action plans to address outstanding internal; audit findings. 
  • Liaison officer for internal audit engagement. 
  • Business process risk remediation projects. 
  • Development of the anti-fraud and corruption policies and procedures. 
  • Preparation and presentations on risk related topics for management committee meetings. 
  • Preparations on risk related topics for audit committee meetings. 
  • Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation. 
 
Performance Planning: 
  • Drafting of the performance information system policies and procedures. 
  • Review of the performance information reports, and evidence submitted on quarterly basis. 
  • Timely submission of quarterly reports in line with regulatory deadline. 
  • Compilation of the annual performance information report and submission in line with regulations. 
  • Assisting the Executive in compiling the Annual report. 
  • Assisting the Executive in compiling the Annual Performance Plan. 
  • Assisting the Executive in compiling the Strategic Plan. 
 
Minimum qualifications and experience: 
  • Post Graduate Degree/ Honours (NQF 8) in performance planning / management practices or in Risk Management or any related qualification. 
  • Master’s Qualification (NQF 9) will be advantageous. 
  • Membership registration with IIA SA, CIGFARO, IRMSA etc. 
  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience of which 5 years’ experience is in Management level. 
  • Solid working knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation and regulations that govern the Public Service including the PFMA and Treasury Regulations, the Public Service Act, the Labour Relations Act. 
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding in National Strategic Intelligence Act; the National Archives of South Africa Act; the Promotion of Access to Information Act. 
  • Computer Literate. 
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks, systems, and processes. 
  • Knowledge of government priorities and imperatives.
