SENIOR MANAGER: HUMAN RESOURCE

REQUIREMENTS: • Honours/ postgraduate in Human Resources/ Public Management/ Labour Relations • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR corporate environment of which 2 years in HR generalist level.

SENIOR MANAGER LEGAL SERVICES

REQUIREMENTS: • L.L.B Degree or equivalent qualification • Must be an admitted attorney/advocate of the High Court of South Africa • LLM degree or other postgraduate legal qualification will serve as an added advantage • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a leadership or management position within a legal environment either in government or a commercial or corporate law firm. • A valid driver’s licence.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER: OPERATIONS

REQUIREMENTS: • Honours Degree in Civil/ Transport Engineering • Professional registration with ECSA and or Pr CPM, SACPCMP • 5 years’ relevant (Contract Management, Project Management Construction Management) experience.• A Valid driver’s license.
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND MAIN TASKS (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): • Manage day-to-day work on projects in construction phases • Coordinate and make recommendations regarding the status of work • Attend and actively participate in partnering sessions with contractors, agencies, and organizations to obtain feedback on Agency performance and effectiveness; represent Agency needs; and develop strong working relationships throughout the industry • Assist in the development of project procurement documents for various delivery methods, including Design [Bid [Build, Design and other innovative project delivery methodologies • Represent the Agency in reviewing contractor requests through formal or informal processes, and provide prompt responses to keep projects on schedule • Provide regular detailed reporting/metrics on existing projects, resources allocation, project status completion statistics, any variances to plan and forecasting of future needs • Review and monitor project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget • Review and provide recommendations on potential Change Orders on projects and processes per contractual requirements, providing detailed analysis of impacts to the Agency budget and schedule • Regularly review project schedules, analyse and monitor construction progress to determine impacts to schedule and provide feedback to GM Operations and Executive Manager Engineering • Regularly attend and/or lead detailed project meetings with contractors, consultants, and outside agencies to ensure Agency goals are achieved • Work with GM Operations to define the roles of project team members, project reporting structures, and frequency of interaction • Monitor and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that may arise during the construction of projects to the GM, Operations • Meet and effectively communicate with project partners, project stakeholders, and public • Resolve conflicts between the contractors, and engineering consultants. REQUIREMENTS: • Honours/Postgraduate in Accounting/Economics/ Purchasing/Logistics and Supply Chain Management • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in supply chain management • In-depth knowledge of and experience in the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Regulatory Framework, Supply Chain Management (SCM) guidelines, Treasury Regulations (TR), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation experience.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND MAIN TASKS (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): • Ensure planning of new roads and bridges is done • Ensure design of new roads, bridges and other related structures is done • Quality assurance • Management of SHE • Evaluate roads and identify projects in accordance with budgets allocated • Develop and assess new standards and methodologies relating to engineering principles and safety • Actively participate to provide inputs to the business plan • Manage SHE and risk-reduction projects • Implement strategic plans and systems to manage road infrastructure networks. REQUIREMENTS: • Degree in Mining, Health and Safety or Safety Management/Risk Management • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a health a safety environment, Construction experience will be advantageous • SAMTRAC or equivalent • Valid Code 08 driver’s licence with own vehicle and willingness to travel • Proven experience in and knowledge of H&S management in compliance legislation (e.g. Hazardous Substances Act, Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations) • Knowledge of relevant legislation, construction regulations, mine standard incident investigation techniques, risk assessment methodologies.
