Purpose: The Manager: Demand will be responsible for the end-to-end resource planning cycle including forecasting, allocation, and prioritisation across multiple units/sub-units within the Corporation. Responsible to manage and assist with the development, review, and implementation of the procurement strategy and plan. Perform strategic and annual supply chain demand management planning in line with the requirements of PFMA and related legislation and National Treasury prescripts. 
 
Requirements: • A 3-year National Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management/Finance or Equivalent (At least at NQF Level 6) • Bachelors Degree (NQF 7 and above) in Logistics or Supply Chain Management/Finance or Equivalent will be advantageous •7 years’ experience in Demand Management of which 3 years must be at a Supervisory role.

Duties: •Develop the demand plan based on business trends and current demand patterns •Analyse and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner •In conjunction with budget management unit; develop procurement plan and identify cost-effectiveness initiatives that will ensure that the sourcing of products and services is delivered within the budget •Ensure that demand planning processes are maintained to improve forecast accuracy •Develop and ensure that the annual procurement plan is executed in a timely manner • •Work with other stakeholders and team members to combine requirements to achieve economies of scale • •Assist with ascertaining whether specification for the relevant commodity exists, if not oversee the collection information and compile specification/terms of reference • Provide guidance and advice to the Corporation on demand management matters to promote correct implementation and sound demand management practices. • Submission of monthly, quarterly, and any other reporting requirement as and when is required
