Purpose of the Job: The ICT Security Administrator is responsible to protect and maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all data processed on the RAF's ICT systems and networks.

Key Performance Areas
  • Draft and maintain documented standards, processes and procedures for the team.
  • Ensure security incidents/ requests are recorded in the RAF incident management system.
  • Participate in investigation, analysis and review following any security breach/ incident.
  • Participate in investigating incidents as requested.
  • Design and develop identity and access controls across RAF systems and applications.
  • Implement security controls across applicable RAF systems and networks.
  • Assist in conducting penetration, vulnerability and reviews activities as per plans/ schedules for access management.
  • Participate in defining and implementing necessary processes and technologies to conduct penetration and vulnerability activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to respective IT operational staff on systems security processes, policies and security access controls.
  • Assist in monitoring ICT systems and application changes to security controls and applicable security breaches/ incidents and compliance status.
  • Participate and assist with defining and implementing processes and procedures to ensure that auditable records are kept for all security activities for which the teams are responsible.
  • Assist in implementing recommended changes as per audit.
  • Act as a substitute in the department to cover capacity.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate @ NQF Level 6 related qualification in IT.
  • The following will be advantageous.
  • Certification in SAP Security platforms.
  • Certification in COBIT and ITIL.
  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma @ NQF Level 7 in IT with specialization in ICT Security.
  • 3 years' experience in an ICT environment.
  • 2 years' experience in an ICT security environment will be advantageous.

  • Access management security knowledge and experience.
  • System and Database security knowledge and experience.
  • Information Security knowledge and experience (Standards, Procedure, Process and Best Practice e.g. ISO 27001/2, COBIT, ISF SOGP, ITIL.
  • Advanced Microsoft OS skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP Security Platforms.
  • Knowledge of COBIT and ITIL.

 
Remuneration 
Total cost to company applicable to this position is minimum R415 542.00 per annum, negotiable.

NB: "RAF offers Total Employment Cost packages with no additional contributions from the Employer, successful candidates are required to structure their packages in a manner that will suit their needs".
