Purpose of the Job: Reporting to Senior Manager: Corporate Banking, the successful incumbent is responsible for development of strategies and the conducting of analysis in order to provide appropriate financial advice on the Fund in terms of investments in order to grow the Fund’s financial capability.

Purpose of the Job: Reporting to Senior Manager: Corporate Banking, the successful incumbent is responsible for development of strategies and the conducting of analysis in order to provide appropriate financial advice on the Fund in terms of investments in order to grow the Fund’s financial capability.
Key Performance Areas
Strategic Investment Asset Management
- Develop and implement the investment team in setting data manipulation to state of modelling future projections.
- Develop and appropriate modelling method – deterministic and/ or stochastic.
- Set and implement projection/ modelling assumptions.
- Develop reports on required funding from National Treasury and demonstrate period required by RAF to ensure liquidity.
- Develop and implement models demonstrating solvency positions with different funding strategies and provide reports to the Head.
Investment Settlements
- Set up cash instructions or release cash payments, ensuring appropriate documentation contains necessary authorization.
- Ensure trades are settled in a timely manner and escalate where appropriate.
- Monitor and suggest solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements.
Policy Review and Implementation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policy, procedures and processes.
- Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit reports as and when required to provide progress updates and/ or inform management decisions.
- Develop reports/ policies/ procedures and guide the process through the alignment of the documents to the overall RAF’s Strategy.
- Develop functional reporting systems, for management, projects or performance reporting.
- Prepare proposals, briefings, presentations, reports, and other documentation and provide management information both verbally and in report format.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate and manage communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders in relation to investments and proactively and progressively manage the relationships.
- Communicate with all levels of stakeholder contact.
- Represent the Fund in relevant external activities and events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Financial Management/ Investment Management/ Accounting/ Risk Management related qualification.
- Relevant 5 - 7 years’ experience in financial/ investment management related environment.

Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Technology, Digital Governance and Risk, the successful incumbent is accountable to support the ICT management in their risk, assurance and compliance objectives.
Key Performance Areas
Policy Review and Implementation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policy, procedures and processes.
- Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.
To Manage risk and Control
- Design, develop and implement the Information Technology (IT) Risk Management Framework that is aligned to the RAF’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
- Develop and maintain a complete controls library for ICT controls in line with best practice recommendations
- Roll out Risk and Control Self-Assessments, capture and maintain the results.
- Maintain a list of all ICT applications and classify them according to risk exposure.
- Drive the creation of an understanding of ICT policies, processes, risk and controls’ in line with the RAF’s Policy Framework.
Facilitate and Conduct Assurance Activities Across IT Environment
- Pro-actively manage the reduction of unsatisfactory audits by:
- Identifying areas of risk within ICT;
- By assisting with the development of remediation plans to address issues by providing risk and audit expertise; and
- Raising and tracking CSA Issues which may be of a strategic, tactical or operational nature.
- Monitor that all new projects have correct levels of assurance controls by conducting internal reviews before projects are implemented.
- Review audit reports for factual accuracy and ensure that correct action owners were identified. Review the feasibility of agreed actions and facilitate closure of audit findings.
Track Remediation of All Observations
- Track and monitor the adequate on time remediation of observations raised by internal (IA) or external audit (Auditor General), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and the control self-assessments (CSA).
- Record remediation plans and facilitate closure for ICT related control weaknesses identified.
- Ensure that all audit closure documents are reviewed by the appropriate stakeholders before being submitted to IA.
Reporting
- Develop reports/ procedures and guide the process through the alignment of the documents to the overall RAF’s Strategy.
- Develop functional reporting systems, for management, projects or performance reporting.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate and manage communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders in relation to investments and proactively and progressively manage the relationships.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers or procurement teams and ensure that all relevant procured items are invoiced and paid on time.
People Management
- Ensure the sourcing, development and retention of a high-performance team.
- Manage staff in the department to ensure that they achieve their objectives in line with the strategic objectives of the RAF. Manage the implementation of human capital processes and procedures to control/regulate workplace conflict and/or institute corrective measures and consultation processes to address deviations from standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree) in IT/Risk Management/Audit/ IT Governance related qualification.
- Postgraduate in IT/Risk Management/Audit/ IT Governance related qualification will be advantageous.
- Certification in CISA/CISSP/CISM/CRISC.
- Relevant 6-8 years’ experience in IT Governance, Risk and Audit environment of which 2 years must have been on management/supervisory level/area of expertise.
